Hôtel Express By Holiday Inn Lille

I have stayed several times and choose to return to this hotel. Great location, great pubs nearby, gourmet dining in Lille Centre, easy to get to from the highways (just examine a map and plot your way, not difficult at all). The hotel is comfortable, very nice breakfast included. Staff is friendly and helpful.

the staff was nice, the location was pretty good, the breakfast was good, and there was the option of a 3beds room

with the third bed all was pretty crowded, the building really needs a renewal, the bathroom was also pretty old.

i would only recommend this hotel to a friend for its location.

Convenient location. Extremely comfortable bedding, I had the best night's sleep than in any other hotel. Hotel staff were so very helpful and friendly. We had booked a nonsmoking room which unfortunately had been used by a smoker and the hotel staff did their utmost to move me to another room for my comfort. This was much appreciated by me.

Breakfast is a typical continental breakfast but the layout of the food near the coffee machine led to much congestion. If the two areas could be further apart then this problem would be alleviated and breakfast would be much smoother for all guests.

A very comfortable bed with lovely white bed linen. The buffet breakfast was very good and included a very nice fresh fruit salad and of course the fantastic French bread etc. I was was also pleased to see the range of herbal teas available. We were also impressed with how quiet our room was. There is also a very comfortable and reasonably priced bar available all day. Conveniently close to Metro and only 2/3 stops from Eurostar station. Last but not least, all the staff were so very friendly and helpful.

Rooms, although well designed, were quite small with little storage space so not really suitable for more than 3/4 nights stay in our opinion.

very shabby and worn out. Broken tap handle in bathroom extractor fan not functional shower head blocked and crummy. bedroom area better but couple lights non functional.

It was well located and had a car park underneath the hotel, which was very handy. For the price, in comparsion to other hotels we viewed online, I thought it was very good value for money.

Needs a bigger breakfast area - there was a big queue in the morning.

The hotel has not been renovated for years. The bathroom was so old that it looks very dirty even if it was cleaned. The breakfast was very poor. The hotel was cheap, but even the price that we paid is too much for such a poor quality.

Location.

Bathroom lighting. Lack of functioning hooks in bathroom and behind door (wet coat).

Very well located, close to the city center and many bars. Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, even at 4 in the morning.

The hotel is very near to subway station, accessible to to many restaurants and very near to the city center. The breakfast was fine.

How can it be possible for 3 star category hotel not having air conditioned on their rooms?

It is good location for the Braderie

1. We asked 3 times by email to confirm our van would fit in the carpark - we got no reply, and the van did not fit. 2. The standard of fittings in the hotel is poor - dirty carpet in the hall, broken tap, etc. 3. We were on a Nonsmoking floor but the smell of smoke was very strong. 4. The price for the room was very high compared to many other hotels we have stayed at - we would not expect to pay more than half what was charged. The Braderie weekend is the only reason this hotel could charge such exorbitant rates for such tired old facilities
