Clean, tidy, continental breakfast was fine, location very central and convenient for sightseeing

Had to pay to use their car park. Extremely noisy until very late Sat night with constant car horns blaring around nearby streets - possibly celebrating after local football match but quite mad and very annoying! Also lots of drunken shouting from streets as this is in the heart of nightclub land. Ok if you're out doing it, less so if you want an early peaceful night.

Easy to find and in a good location. Staff efficient but not intrusive. WiFi in rooms.

I have a question, when I went to check out, my American Express card have some problem, so the waiter told me that only for the gurantity, so I use my Deutsche Bank card pay for this, but when I come back to Germany, I got the information that I should pay 31Euros per night for this, who can help me for this?

Decor looked tired and many items need maintenance eg plugs in the bathrooms being inefficient, showers not working well., Door frames turning black

The staff were helpful and very pleasant. Facilities were fine for a family weekend break and breakfast was very good. Request to have two rooms together despite them being through separate bookings was taken into account. All in all, a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

My only complaint was about the locale of the holiday, where there were several beggars in the street (as there were in most of the busy areas when we were there). Despite this, we were never bothered and did not feel at all threatened at any time.

it is actually quite central but the nice ( more expensive and stylish ) part of town is about a ten minute walk. the problem is the street this hotel is on is a little rough. Its very dirty, lots of litter, some homeless and beggars around and a few doing less desirable things. They should push the mayor to clean up this street. The tonwhall is at the end of the road after all!

Very conveniently located on Republique a couple of stops from Lille Flanders and Lille Europe. Comfortable Rooms although the furniture needs to be replaced

Overall appearance of the hotel is not good. Interior / exterior needs to be revamped very soon

Location. Staff were very helpful generally.

Poor breakfasts: Lack of crockery. Food availability in general very poor/ non existent upto 45 mins before end of breakfast time. Coffee machines very slow in dispensing drinks (very impersonal) . Lack of staff leading to a poor service in dining area. Room was quite noisy(eg from running water and toilet flushing from adjacent rooms, conversations in the corridor - poor sound insulation) Very insufficient room lighting. The "triple room" was a standard, small double room with an additional 'camp-bed' provided - leaving no space at the sides of the bed (wall-to-wall).

The hotel looked shabby. The room was very dark, the bathroom smelled like mold; the bathtube walls were in some places dark with mold and the bathtube was cracked exposing some dark rusted spots. The front-desk stuff was from another planet, I ordered a taxi 1 and 1/2 hour ahead of time and then waited and waited only to see the taxi did not come. I asked them and they were suprised, tried to get in touch with the taxi company (they only had 1 company and 1 number and in geenral the wait to get a cab was 15 minutes in a small city like Lille, we're not talking Paris here so the previous night I had to take the metro because again the front desk clerk was not able to find me a cab). In the end I went outside the hotel and a cab appeared , it was ordered for the hotel but when I got inside I realized it was for another person but the driver took me anyway and then told me that the hotel only passed 2 taxi orders, but aparently we were 3 people who needed a cab - I was not on the list !!! I almost missed my train. The breakfast was poor, when I arrived at 9:45 there was almost no food left, and although there were some people in the breakfast room, the stuff ignored us and started to take away the food ( breakfast was supposed to be until 10 am ). Horrible expercience!

Very noisy and "sensitive" neighbourhood, poorly maintained hotel with very small rooms that are far less than the 3-star rating would suggest.

Hairdryer not working and not fixed during stay no spare available. Had to go to another room 2 floors down with wet hair to use the dryer. Room carpet stained.Hotel advertised parking but shut for the wekend due to event in town and no indication this was the case prior to emailing to ask for a place after booking which was non refundable. Response from hotel not helpful had to ask where can i park then in second email and just got sent town map of parking with no further advice or info, went to one car park told also closed not indicated before arriving.
