The lady who owns the hostel, Marie, is super friendly and will talk to you in beuatiful French and will be happy to see you!
Almost laughable how bad this place was. A French version of Faulty Towers only with an older manager.
the place seriously needs work done... its falling apart.
Not far from the train station
Everything , horrible older staff lady. I paid fully online then she made me pay her again . This place looks like no one has cleaned this place in years , bugs everywhere . An shower is discussing !
the location was pretty good as it was situated in the shopping street and only 15mins away from the city centre
the bathroom was dirty my whole stay, i am not sure if they changed the blankets every time someone left and the kitchen was pretty dirty as well
Everything. The hotel was very dirty and the bathroom was horrible. Very very dirty. Was a disgasting experience.
low price, location
the rest! It was dirty, the kitchen is no kitchen at all, the bathroom is smelling bad and is ugly, ...
Nothing! The place is not healthy for anyone. At first glance through the bookings website this locations does not seem too bad at all. I needed a place quick for my friend and I. I found this hostel thinking well it is only one night. It is a dangerous hostel. Employee was extremely drunk and exposed himself to the female dorm. Do not stay here.
It is not a safe place like I mention before. We decided to leave because of the incident in the girls dorm. Apart from that the location was filthy. The place is directed by a woman who calls herself the pink lady who is way too old. Just go down the block and find another hostel or hotel. This is for your own good.
staff is so kindly
it is need to more clean
without wifi, I can't contect with my family
Only good thing is location if you are arriving by train as it is only two minutes walk from the station.
No locks on any of the bedroom doors or the bathroom! You pulled the bathroom door closed with a screw they had put in the door. No secure luggage area. Whole hostel is very run down and dirty. Was woken at 7am by cleaning lady as the cleaning cupboard and laundry room could only be accessed through the room i was staying in. Simply avoid the place.
everything. Everybody says this is the worst hostel ever. Dirty, weird stayers, no english with the owner. Unavailable to take a normal shower
The hostel location is really good.
The entire room was dirty and smelling bad. The bathroom conditions are not acceptable, I could not even take a shower properly. They are not organized They sold my bed in the last night. The staffs can not understand any word in English.
The bed was uncomfortable, the room was hot and stuffy, the bathroom was disgusting and flooded when people showered.
It's near to the Nice train station
Location couldn't have been ANY better which considering your not in the rooms much and are swimming at the beach a lot actually made this place bearable. Everything Is in a bad way in this hostel but as it feels safe and secure it's almost funny an more memorable rather that worrying
Book this place to save a bit of money for one or two nights maybe, we stayed here for three nights which was just enough. To be fair nothing here is hazardous. There are two new people working with the older ladies now who speak english and are very helpful. The beds have plastic covers so no longer any bedbugs! The layout of the rooms would be fantastic if the cleaners ACTUALLY cleaned the kitchens, we found what looked two sagging baguettes that had a meat and cheese filling (looked like) and was so rotten and covered in mould the cleaners clearly hadn't checked In weeks! It stunk the room out but team who came in blamed the smell on a small unopened block of cheese a girl had brought as a souvenir.
Smelly, dirty, they don't change the sheet! Strange staff, and even there was someone makeing love until midnight just beside me! How horrible! And wifi is weak. Even don't have hot water one night. They changed my room without telling me.
Friendly staff, if a little eccentric. It was very close to the town centre.
Very cheaply furnished. The shower took too long to get hot, so I showered cold. Awful toilet and bathroom. The whole place was cheap, tatty and in need of rennovation.
The staff are nice
No internet. No shuttlebus to the airport.
The old woman doesn´t fix all does broken lamps and pipes. the apartment is totaly messy, maybe her age is an excuse. There were cockroaches/Kakerlaken.
I would recommend to stay a night at the station rather than choosing this hothel. It is really dirty, they seem to never clean the toilet. The owner cannot speak english at all. The female saff was nice and kind but she told me wrong bus station so I was walkinf on the street for one hour. Also, the wifi was not working. I asked the male staff about this problem, and he said I'm complaining too much, and i should go back to my country. But he did well to me compared to other customers. I even saw him yelling at travellers who complained about used sheet. Well...I have to admit that the location is fairly good, very close to the station.
it is cheap and well located
it's so dirty, especially the kitchen and wash room. There is no toilet paper. And most staff can't speak English. The room is small but filled with 3 bunk beds and 2 other beds.
Location is pretty good, just off the main street (5 min walk to train station and 15 min walk to the beach) anf the wifi was pretty good. The two owners are sweet old ladies who are kind and try to help, but speak no English between the two of them. The bed was actually pretty comfortable.
The entire check-in process was a disaster due to the language barrier and their inability to locate my reservation. The staircase/lift up to the room was pitch black at night. The apartment style room was cramped and didn't have nearly enough plugs to go around. Bathroom was dirty and I had to buy my own toilet paper. Like the review title says, avoid this place unless you are fine with the bare minimum (and speak French).
Dirty and disgusting...the bathroom was so unconfortable
Don't stay here (bed bugs and general awefulness). That said, both the staff seemed pretty nice, though the owner lady only spoke French and the bloke upstairs in the bunk was drunk the entire time I was there (morning and night, he seemed very comitted). The shower had hot water and there is an elevator.
Bed bugs in the second room I was in (room 5). The rooms are hot, cramped and dirty. They gave my bunk to someone else my second night and then took an hour to find another for me to sleep in.
