The hotel staff was very kind and they set up an appointment for medical assistance with a local physician. |

The room we booked at the rate online gave us qa very small, crowded room for a couple with a baby: we had to pay an extra 20 euros for a slightly larger room which was still small. But the manager then offered us to stay at a beach house owned by the same folks for an extra 5 euros which was outstanding but we still paid an extra 25 euros per day in the end. This was more than we had budgeted. Still the breakfast and service was nice. |

Nice room and restaurant has good food. Excellent position from War Beaches. Having to pay the gastronomic menu entirely, even though I only ate the entry (no main course, no dessert) |

The buildings were part of an old farmhouse which underwent a top notch renovation. The breakfast was superb - freshly squeezed orange juice, home made yogurt, and local jams. The landscaping was lush and the establishment was beautiful. There is no where nearby to eat dinner and there is no hotel bar in which to get a light evening meal. The hotel restaurant was highly priced, but the food did not match the price. All the flair of french cooking was there but without the extraordinary taste of other similarly priced establishments. When we check in there was no one who helped with baggage even though we were on the second floor and had a lot to carry up stairs. The person taking us to the room did not even offer to carry one of the bags. |

The beautiful grounds and building; the restaurant/dining on site was fabulous. We wished we could have stayed longer. The cab driver who took us back to Caon over-charged us. I felt this was deliberate and that he could take advantage of "tourists". This was unfortunate way to conclude what was a wonderful stay at this hotel and Normandy. |

Very well placed to tour the D-Day beaches, and the main towns and cities. The food is over priced and a replacment chef who can produce well cooked French food, would go a long way to improve the visit. |

Beautiful location with very well presented facilities. On-site restaurant was very good for both dinner and breakfast. Slight odour in the toilet area of sewage or cleaner but opened windows and it cleared out soon thereafter. |

The food in the restaurant is divine and very good value. The hotel has plenty of character. The hotel could do with a bar. The waiters were stand-offish. |

The hotel is so beautiful in a quiet location in a wonderful old estate yet close to all Normandy D-Day sites. The front desk is very helpful. A simple added bonus is the coffee making in the room. This is by far the best place we stayed in Normandy and the price is reasonable for the quality. Stay there, i think you will love it. The pictures on the web do not do it justice. The only restaurant in the area is in the hotel but it is an easy drive to a nearby town but we did eat there and it was lovely as well in nearby towns. You do need to arrive by car but there is plenty of parking there. |

Very attractive ancient farm buildings, sympathetically restored & set in lovely grounds. Spacious & comfortable rooms. Excellent restaurant, with good vegetarian options (unusually for France). Very friendly & helpful staff, who helped create a welcoming atmosphere. - Overall a great place to stay - worth paying the extra when you want to treat yourself. |

The hotel is an old fortified French farm and therefore very picturesque. The restaurant is excellent and very popular. The staff were friendly and amenable. We had elderly travellers with us with mobility problems and the hotel happily provided a room with easy access. |

Lovely building, good work on the grounds with nice plants etc. to form nice external environment. Great character room. Restaraunt too rushed - more like eating in a cafeteria rather than a quality restauant, which the standard and cost of the rest of the hotel led us to expect. Food also not that good for the price. |

Arrogant staff, (except for the charming young man who welcomed us, he was very helpful in many ways, (and spoke very good english). The young lady who told us the way on the phone was likewise). Deskclerk was a total disaster. |
