The restaurant was very nice, very convenient and good food. The staff were kind and gracious, and very forgiving of our attempts at speaking bad French!
Our room was wonderful, but we weren't told ahead of time we would be at a different location from the main inn. It turned out to be even more quiet and just as convenient, but it would have been nice to know ahead of time.
Picturesque surroundings inside and out. Fantastic food and friendly service. A peaceful and relaxing place
Everything. The quality of the accommodation is immaculate, the service is unfailingly helpful. Breakfast was very fresh and varied. Evening restaurant meals were generally excellent.
The beautiful surroundings, the comfort and quality of the room. The extra pillows available, everything well appointed.
The breakfast a little overpriced and the service while excellent a little impersonal. The menu could do with a better translation, describing food as a 'mish-mash' conveys the impression of a bit of a muddle, not ideal.
Location, ambiance, food
Not a thing
Fantastic french style. Steaming with atmosphere. In the heart of the D-Day landings. Cosy rooms, clean. Lot of small places to relax in garden and on terasses. Very kind receptionist staff, englishspeaking!!
I wish the waiter in the restaurant could tell us about the delicious food we had in english. The food was excellent.
Food Service. High Quality accomodation. Setting.
Very Friendly personnel and extrodinary beautifull location.
A little understaffed in restaurant, bar and breakfast. You have to wait a lot for service. It will all happen but you will have to wait.
Everything about the resort.
I cannot think of one thing.
We enjoyed opening the windows and feeling the breeze. The abundance of flowers on the property enhanced the overall atmosphere. Considering that the hotel was in the countryside, we were pleasantly surprised to have a 5 star dining experience.
Although we booked a petite salon suite, we were taken to a larger suite first (in case we were interested in paying 15 Euros extra per night to upgrade). It was an unnecessary and unusual detour. The suite we booked was already larger than needed for 2 people. Our suite contained 2 beds, 2 desks, a jacuzzi tub, a separate shower, a large walk- in closet, and 4 windows that opened to the outside. If they wanted to automatically upgrade our room (like some hotels choose to do), we might have accepted, but to use our time to try to unnecessarily upsell us was a bit disappointing. Next time, please just take us to the room we reserved.
Did not see a lot of staff smiling, they did what they had to do.
We loved our room with its original beams and furniture. We loved the fact that we had a little hall with a view over the court-yard, with excellent opportunities for people-watching and swallows nesting outside in a corner of the window. The bathroom was quirky, but we really liked it - though it was a bit irritating have to go into the bathroom from the separate toilet to wash one's hands. The grounds were full of flowers, with even the car parking areas surrounded by lavender and roses. Car parking was plentiful and free. We enjoyed our breakfasts and had two excellent dinners. Drinks both inside the Salon/bar and outside on the patio were excellent and service was very good across the board. The hotel was really well placed for touring the area - the D-Day sites were easily accessible, as were Caen and Bayeux. It was also very quiet - being at the edge of a small village in the French countryside was really calming and restful, something my friend and I appreciated during a break from busy and demanding jobs. While this hotel might not be so suitable for those without a car, for us it was a gem and we loved every minute of our stay.
I think I can genuinely say I have only a single criticism of this hotel and that is that dogs were allowed into areas where people were eating and drinking. While I saw no animals during our two evening meals, I was horrified to see quite a large dog under a table at breakfast on at least one occasion. While the dog was well-behaved, it still strikes me as unacceptably unhygienic.
The location, the facilities, the food
The bath drain/plug did not work and watter accumulated as we showered. Access stepping into and out of the bath/shower was potentially hazardous in the absence of a hand rail. The lack of ventilation on tthe bathroom was an inconvenience.
Restaurant a little pricey , but nowhere else in immediate vicinity (not without driving).
The main hotel and restaurant were lovely
The fact the room we booked was at the annexe and we weren't told when we booked
Great location. Room was large and clean
Restaurant maître di was only individual who took orders and he was inefficient. Wait and meal times were unacceptable. Heating was turned off in rooms. Cold floors.
Small windows in bedroom
The whole glorious place
Nothing to dislike
I booked the last remaining room - the smallest- and didn't know what to expect. It was wonderful- cosy, comfortable, charming and with a great en-suite shower room. The staff were lovely and friendly and the Ferme itself is absolutely beautiful- we took breakfast on the terrace in the glorious morning sunshine. Sadly we were only there for one night but we'll definitely be going back- as soon as possible!!
The ambiance, excellent dinners, fabulous room, comfortable bar, location - in fact all of it was great. Will certainly visit again
There was absolutely nothing to dislike
The wifi was a bit slow and the breakfast a bit simple for the Price but this was not important for the overall experience
Outstanding character property
I could not find fault. Excellent throughout.
Beautiful inn with exceptional food. Rooms were gracious and lovely. The inn has been meticulously restored and the facilities are quite modern. Perfectly located for sight seeing.
