Hotel Ferry Emeraude  

the hotel in fell well below our expectations in relation to the price paid. The general appearance of the hotel is poor and the room no bettter there were no proper curtains at the windows and street lamp directly outside. The condition of the bathroom was poor to the extent that we did not use the shower.

There is nothing good about this hotel. Other than the fact we couldn't stop laughing at how bizarre the whole place is. Fawlty Towers......We actually stayed her twice. One night before and after going to Disneyland Paris. We chose this hotel as it was one of a few that had 2 separate beds for our 4 and 15 year old and within walking distance to ferry, but a further walk to the main St Malo area.

I understand check in was 3pm, however turned up just before 2pm by taxi hoping to drop suitcases off, but was completely locked up...Lovely walking around with all our luggage!! Also on the day of departure, after we had spent 4 days in Disney we were exhausted and were 20 minutes late checking out. We were literally asked to leave our room (I was half dressed when the owner walked in to our room) The owners left the hotel after us and not thanking me for holding the door open for them. Again they locked the hotel up so they could go out. Why run a hotel if you only spend a few hours there!!! The rooms were a bit dated and weirdly presented, although fairly comfortable and we all slept well. Shower tiles didn't look like they had been cleaned in years. Even my messy teenage son had notice this! Whilst my partner checked out, I used the downstairs toilet to put my makeup on. It was filthy and there was no soap. Owners very frosty and not welcoming. We visit St Malo regularly from Jersey, but this hotel will not be on our list!!!

Reception was open from 3 p.m.

It was a very short walk to the beautiful walled city.

Upon arriving check-in was not until 3pm, which is fine however the hotel was closed until that time so we had to keep our luggage with us for half a day which was extremely annoying. It needs to be stated that the hotel is not manned at certain times!!! Also it needs internet!

Location good for ferry terminal and old town.

The proprietor only made one appearance. The hotel seemed run down it had window boxes that only had cigarette buts in them and the shower head in the en suite bathroom was filthy. When we left next morning the hotel appeared to be empty, which seemed strange. Also we didn't even consider having breakfast there for lack of cleanliness.

Il n'y a pas d'autre hotel près du ferry, mais pour aller au port, il faut marcher 15 min, ce n'est pas 5 min ni 300 m.

Rien vu la saleté qu'il y a dans la salle d'eau,derrière les W.C.chimiques avec le bruit que l'on sait.. Le flexible de la touche qui était plus qu'encrassé ; les tables de nuit dans la chambre où il y avait un cure-dents le soi-disant placard avec un rideau qui a 30 cm de trop long ; les rideaux aux fenêtres qui n'avaient pas la même finition,j'ai pris une photo si celà vous intéresse ; le téléphone une fois décroché avait une telle crasse, que l'on osait pas le prendre. Le piano dans la salle du petit déjeuner était recouvert d'une telle poussière à vous couper l'appétit. Vraiment on en a pour son argent.Le seul point positif c'est qu'il est proche des ferryes.

Un peu cher si on ne prends en compte que la qualité de la chambre mais bonne situation geographique.
