The orange bed runner was sooooo filthy - it had stains, discolorations,
and hair (that didn't belong to me!). The room smelled old and stale
- makes sense, since it has air conditioning, but it wouldn't work
throughout our stay. Since we chose a street-facing room, sleeping with
the windows open meant being awake all night - the hotel faces the Rue
de France, which was active until at least 4 am! The sounds of shouting,
loud motorbikes and the smell of smoke filled our room when we were
trying to sleep. The maid kept the room clean, but missed some big
details - he / she forgot to refill our tissue box and apparently
used the toilet brush with toilet paper in the toilet (tp was clumped
onto the brush when we returned to the room after cleaning).
Inexpensive, good location, and the hotel staff was wonderful - they
quickly answered all questions asked via E-mail, offered to book a
taxi for our return to the airport (don't take a taxi - the 98 bus
is so easy and convenient!), and made the check in / out process
smooth and easy.
