Novotel Fontainebleau Ury  

Good value for money

Too far from centre of town and not suitable for those without their own transport. There are insufficient taxis in the area and a one way journey to town can cost €30. obviously this is not the fault of the hotel but I would not recommend staying here if you are attending conferences at Insead.

Looking old and tatty now - really could do with a refurbishment.

We loved staying at the Novotel Fontainebleau after 5 very busy days in Paris. It was like a " vacation" from our vacation. The pool was great. It was an easy drive to the great village of Fountainebleau for the restraunts and the castle. Be sure to order the chilled tomato soup with basil ice at the Novotel! Delicious!

Quiet comfortable location - reasonably close to Fontainebleau

The hotel is located in a very green area close to a forest with a nice pool in the garden. We did not have a chance to use the pool as we stayed in April.

The staff were nice & friendly but unable to speak and understand English properly, spesifically at room service and the restaurant. The waiters even do not understand what a spoon is. Because this is an international chain hotel of Accor, we expected the staff to be more trained in English , not only French. We stayed two days with our five month old son. Eventhough we have requested a quiet room , our room was placed at the same floor with reception, getting all the noise from the lobby & reception area. The rroms on the reception floor transfer the sound from the corridor in extreme so we recommend that you stay on an upper floor if you prefer this hotel for a restfull stay.

1. De ontvangst viel ons tegen i.v.m. het feit wij in eerste instantie een kamer kregen die naast de verbouwingswerkzaamheden gelegen was. Nadat wij om een andere verzocht hadden bleek het dat de vaste telefoonverbinding in de nieuwe kamer niet werkte. Wij betrokken daarna voor de derde maal een kamer in het hotel. 2. Op de website van het hotel was het adres niet volledig aangegeven waardoor wij niet wisten dat de afstand tot de A6 slechts een kilometer van het hotel verwijderd lag. Voor de toerit naar het hotel hebben wij bij aankomst een enorme omweg moeten nemen.

Le calme de l'endroit, très buccolique, et la gentillesse du directeur qui a accepté que je change ma réservation de jour car je m'étais trompée et que normalement ma réservation n'était pas échangeable (il faut juste que je vérifie qu'on ne m'a pas débité une 2e nuit....)

Piscine, le cadre superbe dans la forêt, personnel aimable

Lit inconfortable et "bruyant", état général chambre et établissement vieillissant. Hammam payant Difficultés accès Internet
