We stay in this neighborhood on our last night in France. We park our car across the street, good places to eat open early before our flights. On check in the desk attendant was very friendly but clearly attempted to upgrade us. &Quot;Pay later once you are satisfied with your room." We were satisfied with our tiny, very plain room and had to really repeat ourselves so he'd stop asking to show us a better room. Felt a little too much like rug bartering in the bazaar and irritated me. Irritated as well that Booking only listed the one class of rooms, so it seems they bring people in with their low price offer, then try and upgrade them on the spot to a room that costs 3x as much. Given there are 5-6 hotels of the same quality near by, I won't choose to stay here again. This is a 1 star hotel packed with the cheap qualifying gestures to rate it as 3 stars.

The sheets were clean, and the bathroom was clean and the shower hot, my two main priorities. Unfortunately lots of things. Primarily that the rooms looked nothing even vaguely like the website, which was the main reason i chose it, as i wanted traditional french furniture & a bit of charm. I was 'upgraded' to an executive suite because there was some problem (wasnt told what) & if thats the case, id i truly hate to see what my original room was like. The bath was so old the enamel was cracked, there were scratches & chips in th paint everywhere, one of the lights didnt work, the room was so small, you could only fit down one side of the bed sideways, the other barely walking straight, the hallway light didnt work (& its hardly welcoming to walkninto a gloomy Hall & have to find the lights switch when you're laden-at least have the lights on sensors); wasn't offered any assistance to take luggage to my room, i wasn't taken to my room; at least half the cable tv channels weren't available (no signal); & for the same price i later stayed in a glorious chateau with fabric wallpapers & a newly renovated bathroom in a fabulous 160 acre garden setting in the loire (domaine de beauvois). While in paris I also stayed in a much nicer & roomier apartment near the notre dame for 100 euro a night less. I guess i was paying for being in the centre if Paris, but the major disappointment was that there was no comparison with the website at all, either in the standard of the furniture or size of the room. And while we all know hotels put their best rooms on the web,,i have also stayed in places on this same trip that much much more closely resemble what they offer and/or are actually accurate! I believe booking.com has a respsonsibity to see that places it offers meet at least some minimum standards.

All hotel staff were really very helpful, computer and printer are available free of charge in 1st floor, wifi signal was perfect all over the hotel. Room rates are a bit expensive, furniture is too old and need to be renovated.

The location was great. The reseptionists were most of the time friendly, but not very experienced. The hotel was downright shabby. It did not correspond at all like with the rooms pictured on the hotel pages. The only place that looked presentable was the lounge on the first floor. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel, maybe the breakfast room was renovated. I used the business center once, trying to print our boarding passes. The cartridge in the printer was empty...the person at the reception had no idea where a new cartridge might be, and if she would have, she did not know how to change it!

View of the street from the balcony with a door. It wasn't a fan to collect the vapor from the shower, so I had to open the window room to clear the humidity.

It was good value for money and a convenient location. The staff is not very helpful apart from the night guardian. I had to ask twice for a working hairdryer, and the one in my room has been out of order for 2 years apparently! I had room service once, the food was cold and not great.

Great location, friendly staff. Room was relatively big and spacious. Equiped with fridge that was very useful to me. Good heating, soundprrof windows that made me forget the noisy Rue de Rivoli below. Clean renovated bathroom. Tiny elevator, almost did not fit my suitcase. Leak in bathroom but I can't complain as I id not say anything about it to staff. Room and staircase can use new carpeting. All in all great hotel!

Great location.. The room was not small and was big enough. The room very clean. It is very expensive according to such hotel.. I think a single room should be between 40 and 60 Euros, no more.. The staff just need to have bigger and real smile.
