눉Extremely disappointed on arrival to find our week was to be spend in a mid terrace house where the only outside space whether front or back of house was the very narrow council pavement at the front onto which the blue door in the advert opened.Outside studio window, on pavement, owners had just managed to fit very small set of table & 2 chairs within curb edge. The offer of 'Free public parking is possible on site' is actually either a single car space (if not taken by others) on derelict land opposite the house where the road forks, or by pulling car up against house wall as tight as possible part on, part off pavement in front of studio window. Result: space then left between tree and car too narrow for two to sit at table to eat outside. There appeared to be no sound insulation whether between studio and rooms above or corridor. Bed lifted up against wall to make sofa but was so heavy this wasn't feasible, making the accommodation extremely cramped as living/ sleeping/ kitchenette space was @16 sq metres not helped by the three doors opening out into it. Other than small fridge, whose drip tray constantly needed emptying, there was nowhere to store food. Bathroom window was fixed so it couldn't close thus bathroom extremely cold throughout our week despite weather being hot for time of year. Decor throughout apartment was dismal making space feel even less welcoming.have .
눇Walking access to Domaine Mounie a few doors along , reason we had decided to stay in Tautavel this trip rather than any of the other wine villages.Interesting prehistoric settlement if only council dealt with dogs wandering and the resultant mess. Excellent area for Cathars castles 7 views of Pyrenees.
