The location was amazing, I have stayed all over Paris and this was by far the best, within 10-15 minute walk of major attractions and the train station. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Funky interior. Great Breakfast! Shop nearby to buy drinks/ pack up etc.
Rooms are very small but you don't need any bigger.
Very good location, quiet street, near to two metro stations.
- Very small room!!! - We stayed at Maxim Folies for three nights, and both the second and third morning we were woken up by the fire alarm (08h40 and 08h10 respectively)! The first time, the cook burned something in the kitchen and the second time a customer pressed the fire alarm button.
The location of the hotel is very near to many reataurants and also accessible to metro . You can always find descent crowd even in midnight.I recommend this hotel for any vistor looking in descent price range.
The room was little conjested. The bath room didnt have a curtain inside .because of that water used to fall out of the shower area.
The location The bed was confortable
The personal was like in a hostel. No proffesional. They try to cheat us with the transportation to the airport charging an extra comission for the guy who was in the deskfront.
Extremely small rooms; not enogh space evan for a small luggage
We booked this hotel after a lot of research online, as it seemed budget friendly and rooms looked good. But we were in for a little disappointment! First the good points - front desk during the day was very sweet and helpful. Rooms were clean when we arrived and seemed like a good deal over all.
Then the problems - In our requirements, we had particularly specified that A/C was very important to us. In spite of this the A/C in the room did not function on all three nights that we stayed and whatever the fault could not be rectified to our satisfaction. We could not sleep due to the heat and on opening the windows there was too much noise from the street. No house keeping or linen change. Small dingy bathrooms( but I guess thats all over Paris). The management seemed very stingy with the toilet accessories - one small tiny soap when the bath and wash basin were in two different places. There was no soap holder either so the soap has to be kept on the floor in the bath!!! The safe refused to work and on the last day, our belongings were locked in the safe and no one was available to open it till 9 AM in the morning. Thankfully we did not miss our flight!
They could ve inform people by posting on its and/or booking.com website prior to booking that the renovation of the hotel is going on...
Location Price Furniture Staff
Room space Noise Old windows (don't close too good) Couldn't manage to turn heating on
I like the location and the stuff are great.
The shower is really bad. Just the space wasn't good enough for two. Not even one. It should have fridge to store drinks. And just a comfort of hotel
Verrrry small room,
nice interior good location helpful staff small rooms as usual in Paris, but very comfortable, clean and well-organized
expensive breakfast absence of refrigerator
Location Helpful staff Room was basic but clean
The street can be really noisy at night/early morning with the bin collections etc.
2 subway station near to the hotel grocery 10m from hotel
windows to the street (noise during the night)
Te location is soooo great and the rooms are so comfy. A little bit small, but the truth is that we didn't need more space than what we had.
The internet was bad
Close to the Louvre and opera and shopping area
The hotel was very easy to get to from Cadet metro station. The rooms are simple but clean and everything you need. The room size was fine for us but for larger people or a couple with a child you should upgrade to a bigger room. We found it to be easy walking to distance to plenty of restaurants and cafes as well to important sites such as The Louvre and Notre Dame. There are also a few small supermarkets nearby if you wish to buy food to take back to the hotel. The hotel is very much no frills - expect a simple, clean hotel with limited extra facilities and you'll be satisfied, expect a fancy 4 or 5 star hotel and you'll be disappointed!
Inadequate shower curtain meant bathroom became quite wet. Lack of english tv channels was a bit irritating but for some people that won't be an issue at all! The bed was incredible creaky which meant I woke up every time myself or my partner rolled over during the night. By the end of our 4 night stay I was a bit exhausted from a lack of good sleep!
Close to the Paris center, walkable to many touristic attractions. In a quiet but living street with lots of restaurants, shops near the area. The rooms are well decorated and clean. The stuff is friendly and helpfull.
Wifi didn't work properly all the time.
breakfast was very good
we were on the top floor and it was a little noisy at night due to what sounded like an extractor system on the roof
Proximity to attractions, modern rooms, free use of telephone. Small supermarket and boulangerie in street. Friendly staff.
Very small rooms, hot in summer, AC not very effective, no mini fridge, no coffee or tea making equipment in room. Shampoo not very good :-)
Loved the modern decor, cleanliness, and spacious shower!
We booked a room very last minute due to a flight cancellation. Twice the staff mentioned to us that we were paying a cheaper rate than they normally charge and booking.com made an error. We felt awkward, didn't know how to respond, and felt like a burden to the staff. After the crazy day we had it would have been nice to just be welcomed like a regular guest without a guilt trip for apparently getting a discount.
Friendly service Noise isolation was ok Wifi worked normally, if face problems you just connect to the nearest one. Stylish rooms, new furniture Very good location Had air-conditioner I was able to ask for tea in the evening for an additional payment When asked for help with air-conditioner, the manager came within 5 min and fixed quickly I was able to leave my luggage on the front desk after check-out The best option in this pricing range
Experienced issues with hair dryer. It turned of every minute, due to over heating. I was told that they cant fix and nothing was done to replace it. Luckily i was still able to dry my hair, but with extra effort. I also saw dark hair in the bathroom, even though i asked not to clean during my stay. The air-conditioner, probably had some condensate on the bottom so the carpet underneath was always wet. A refrigerator and a microwave to use, would be very nice to have.
The staff was not friendly at all! One night the guy at the reception started shouting and told us to shut up and go sleep in our rooms! This behaviour is not acceptable at all in a hotel. Also, rooms are extremely small and we had trouble with the air conditioning and lights. Bottom line, do not go to this hotel. It is cheaper than others but not worth the hassle at all. Will never set foot there ever again!
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. On the day we were leaving there was a train and taxi strike in Paris and they gave us advice on how to get to CDG airport by bus.
Nice location good staff, central location
Room a bit tiny. Overall nice location if you want to visit Paris
As we checked in a little bit late, the reception's attitude is pretty bad, will not book this hotel next time.
