Il gestore dell'Hotel è stato gentilissimo e mi ha aspettato fino a mezzanotte...la camera era pulita e molto accogliente. E' centrale e il,rapporto qualità prezzo molto buono.

I happily recommend this lovely hotel for pilgrims on the camino. The staff/owners were lovely and kind. The food was great. The location couldn't be better.

I needed better French to communicate with host properly

I am walking the Camino de Santiago. This place was an excellent place to stay to get ready for the walk after travelling. This place also offers shared rooms with beds for 14 euros. A great place to meet other people walking the road as this is a stop over for people coming from European Caminos. Its right across the road from the Camino Information center.

The owners engagement with visitors. Support and advice offered to help achieve travel goals. Made you feel he really wanted to know me.

The decor of the hotel is very pretty and welcoming. It is Pilgrim-friendly and provided a perfect starting point for the pilgrims walking the camino de santiago.

A very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room in the center of the town. I traveled there to start my pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela, so I needed a good night sleep before climbing the mountains.

In The main street.. Could be better

Very welcoming and friendly couple running the gite. It's right in the centre of St Jean Pied de Port and you can park just near the Porte St Jacques (2 minutes away). The tourist office is only a couple of minutes away and they organise some great visits and you can also see a pelote basque match if you're there on Monday (also market day, so there are a lot more people in summer and the parking is less easy) There's a lovely area behind the gite to have dinner of an evening if you want to. You just walk up the hill and you're at the citadelle. A great place to stay and use as a base for the region. Geoff (Australia)

As the starting point for the Camino de Santiago, this Gite is brilliantly located on the main old street at St Jean Pied du Pord. Great to be able to turn up late at around 10.45pm on the last train from Bayonne. And the young French couple running the buiness were very friendly. Wealth of information at the Camino office, good menu at no 3 on the same road, wonderful Basque Tart from the local bakery, worth starting the Camino early to enjoy the monastery at Roncesvalles.

Due to a mix-up with Booking.com (dealt with and over) I didn´t get the room I was promised, and got a dorm room to myself. If I were a dorm- room sleeper, I´d certainly go to Gite Azkorria, because it´s all new, freshly made and clean. So well made! The host is so friendly, too. I wish them all the best.

Pilgrims starting off want to get an early start. At 6:15 the door was closed, and I had to wait a bit for them to open the door. Find some arrangement here!

The location is very good, excellent Owners are so friendly and gave us a lot of information highly recommended !

La ubicación.. pero para el que no le importe subir cuestas.

Se confundieron al darnos la habitación. Luego nos dieron una con dos camitas en la buhardilla. No volvería. Es para mochileros y peregrinos.

l'accueil et la gentillesse d'Isabelle le calme les couleurs du gîte dans sa globalité dommage qu'une seule nuit....même pas eu le temps de prendre le petit déjeuner!
