Our house and, of course our gites, enjoy a unique situation. You arrive via our little bridge over the river Couze and this brings you onto the property, we have a 2.5 acre lake (the gites have lovely views of this and the river) and, the river splits at the back of the property and flows around it, making us an island. Our guests regularly describe it as a 'piece of paradise' and, in our opinion it really is!
Hello, we are Brian & Taunya, originally from the north of England but we have been living in France since 2007. We love this area of France, the peace and tranquility, the quiet roads and the friendly people. I (Taunya) have discovered a love of photography since being here and, I love taking pictures of the birds and insects around our house and lake.
The Haute Vienne is a stunning area, famous for it's oak and chestnut forests and, it's lakes. The lakes come in all shapes and sizes, there is a huge lake just a 15 minute drive from us where you can enjoy beaches, water sports and they have jungle swings in the trees! Must see places are Oradour sur Glane, the martyr village; Our city Limoges famous for it's fine porcelain, beautiful train station, cathedral and it's mediaeval Butcher's Quarter; There are numerous little villages and towns that time has not touched, too many to mention here but, we have details of in the gite for you. If you want a peaceful, relaxing holiday then look no further, you've found it and, you can bring your dog with you!
