The location was the best aspect of this hotel and the standard of the refurbished rooms was very good. The breakfast content was very limited for the high price. |

The location is convenient to the old town of Nice which is the best part of town for tourists to explore and enjoy many fun shops and restaurants as well as traditional markets. Only 5 minutes from the beach as well with beautiful parks and public tramway right at the doorstep. European hotels do not offer a simple inexpensive breakfast alternative. Not everyone wants a 25€ full meal. The 'continental breakfast' style needs to be offered - at reasonable prices - which would be good for the hotel and client. |

we liked the location, it was v central. near bus and not too far from train routes The first room we were allocated was appalling, it smelt of raw sewage and we asked to be moved immediately. We were move to another room at the back of the hotel, awful views. the room was small, sparsely furnished, bathroom etc very poor, with fittings taken out and pipes taped up. Also wallpaper, peeling off walls in some areas. This room would have not been rated 1 star. We would return to the hotel, given a better room, we believe that this is the standard of room you get at a discounted rate. It really was not what we expected of a 4* hotel, as we had paid up front, we had no choice but to put up with it. |

I don't think this hotel should be rated as 4-star-hotel. The room was quite small, you can just walk around your bed, no more space! The decoration is very old, the bath basin was rusty. The bed was uncomfortable, deninitely needs to be renewed. The window allow traffic noise inside. |

The location - it's mega central, roof terrace with great panoramic view (swimming pool was not in use though...) We had to change our room, because the first room was offered to us was in discusting order: everythng in it (furniture/fittings) was dirty, tired and half-broken!! Horrrid!! And not a 4 star hotel room!! Bathroom had broken mirror and filthy tiles with black mould all over them!! |

Location is perfect for shopping, beach and sightseeing. The pool area is pleasent. The airconditioning didn't work in the room (and it was hot!) we asked for the beds to be made up as twins but this wasn't acted upon - I sense that the chambermaid had gone home. |

The locatin is very good. Very old hotel. Rooms are shabby. About 100 years ago , I think this was an excellent hotel ....!!!! Beware, the pictures are just to fool you ! Very small and old rooms, shabby bath, worn out carpets, almost stinking interiors. No breakfast included. Terrible experience. |

The desk staff and management were very helpful. The hotel is situated close to everything - railway, shops, cafes, tram, bus, restaurants and the Old Town. The Airport bus (No 98, only 4 euros and much better than a taxi) stops every twenty minutes opposite the hotel. Location is perfect and only a short walk to Promenade des Anglais. The hotel should be recommended on location alone. We had booked a 'classic' room but we did not like at all because it was in tatty though clean condition. I would advise to book a refurbished room at the outset. The staff did their best to please and we were offered another for an additional 25euros/day which was fine - the standard you would expect at a Travel Lodge though smaller. |

the location of the hotel, its potential to be a much better hotel. the maintenance of the hotel.the smell of sewer penetrating the rooms ,the poor maintenace of the finishes in the hotel.the staff should be better trained.ourshower was broken we had to change room ,strong smell of sewer in both rooms we rent,we got a candelto get rid of smell,no hot water in the room due to electricity shotage.the hotel can be managed and maintained much better.staff are ok but not the most friendly. |

We find the hotel in a very good position for the old town, shopping, promenade & beaches. We have stayed there on 3 previous occasions but felt the room could do with some decorating. |

The location was so central to all our needs. Close to the beach, to the old town, to shops and restaurants, and even to the bus and trains, easy access with bud from and to airport. The staff was in fact very nice and smiling, helpful and serviceminded. The facilities on the roof was splendid! We are very happy The breakfast was way to expensive! |

The staff were lovely and the pool area was really nice. The hotel was ideally located for the old town. Air conditioning in room was awful despite repeated complaints to hotel. Room a bit tired..wallpaper hanging off wall. Volume on tv for movies not sufficient so not able to watch movies in room. |

Very Central to shopping, Old town and Bus Centre.Informal Hotel. We did not get the room we booked on arrival, we changed the next day but only because of our persistence. Our room was very good and served our needs adequately. |
