    Staff, food, setting,especially the terrace are excellent.

    Complete lack of air conditioning made it impossible to sleep so we were extremely tired next day. This was despite window open and a fan continuously blowing. Appreciate that it's a listed property but others have found a way to address this without upsetting heritage boards.

    The location The staff The gardens and terrace were lovely

    The heat in the rooms - there was no way to get the room cool at night as there was no airconditioning or even a properly ceiling fan. The only way to leave the windows open was to close the shutters which prohibited the airflow. For the 4 nights we stayed both of us could did not have a proper nights sleep. If we left teh shutters open and windows open , which was the best solution, too much light came into our room as the outside lights were on all night, plus it was not secure with us being on ground floor. we were given a fan but it made little difference. Also as we were closest to the pool, the noise of the pool machinery prohibited us from leaving the doors open also. Very disappointing stay. Plus, I was exetremely disappointed with teh gym . The michinery has not been maintained properly and both the runner and cross trainer made so much noise, that you couldn't hear the news.

    Very helpful staff, clean room and great location.

    There are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

    Staff was wonderful! the food in the dining room was very good.

    Room needed a comfortable chair. Reading lights by the bed were not bright enough.

    The staff was very helpful in arranging for restaurants and sightseeing. Another plus was the size of the rooms which was large by French standards and comfortable.

    I think breakfast is a little pricey.

    The staff who are always very helpful and friendly

    This is our 8th summer at the Grand Hotel and last year we started to feel things were deteriorating. The hotel is in need of a complete makeover. The 333 used to have delicious hamburgers, club sandwiches, entrecote and fish now the club sandwich was a small dry egg sandwich, the hamburger revolting and entrecote no longer on menu. The pool area is grubby,showers with black mold on tiles and grouting missing.Pool water never clear and a lack of staff to keep area clean and collect towels left by clients. The refrigerator in the room hardly keeps the contents cool , not that the contents are at all appealing and there is still no coffee machine for a late night or early morning expresso.I am afraid this hotel is past its sell by date it seems to be aiming for the seminar market but it really can not claim to be a 5star luxury hotel and would need a complete facelift and management shake up to justify its prices.

    Great location, very friendly welcome

    No ac in the room and the quilt was too thick so I got hot at night. Also the breakfast is not up to its price

    The location near the ferry crossing, the breakfast, pool and loungers.

    No cooling system offered and they still put heavy duvets on the bed in the middle of summer. I had to strip the bed every night.
