we were so well recd by front desk staff. Location perfect. Excellent dinner in the restaurant connected to the hotl
Nice hotel conveniently located to the main street for shopping and eating and directly across the street from the train station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Street is crowded and noisy at night though you couldn't hear it inside the hotel.
Wifi was spotty and constantly lost connection.
Really enjoyed my stay here, great location and beautiful city. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend for anyone wanting to stay in Reims.
There was an underground multi-storey car park right in front of the hotel's main entrance so parking was really easy. The hotel was near the city centre and there were plenty of restaurants along the road on which the hotel was situated. Food was good, staff helpful and the hotel was clean.
The room was rather stuffy so we opened the window. This led to a poor night's sleep due to incessant traffic noise - road cleaning vehicles came past four times at around 4.30 am!
Staff and Service were very helpful. Reasturant was very good. We would certainly stay here again.
Made very welcome, nothing was any trouble very polite, welcoming and could not speak highly enough of the 4 staff we had on the front desk.
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived they were expecting us and had everything ready to go with our room. Whenever we had questions they were most helpful, he was the highlight of our stay. The room was cute and old fashioned but comfortable. You really felt like you were staying in France! The bathroom was good and clean and the hot water was good. There was no issue with traffic noise and it was so convenient across the park from the stations and a short walk to all the shops. A good place for a short stay.
The wifi wasn't great in our room, but in the lounge on the landing it worked fine. Also the cleaner walked in to our room without knocking first.
Great location on pedestrian area with loads of outside eating and having the underground car park just outside the front door. Great staff and restaurant too.
Last minute booking meant that we had the smallest rooms, not as pleasant as our previous experience.
Step out onto the tree-lined boulevard, full of bustling life and street cafes. Perfect location and directly outside is an underground parking facility. Everything is in walking distance, the sights, the station, the shops, and the park.
The room was a little dated in it's decor but that was my only complaint.
Just too old, beyond the traditional touch, bathroom was about 50 years old
Grubby and tired, with a few bed bugs thrown in for good measure. If we hadn't been so tired, we should have relocated.
Room didn't like how it was presented on the picture and the receptionist gave the uncharged door key first. Poor bathroom amenity.
The receptionist provided room service with ice cream and coffee from the restaurant; the room was very dark and quiet (suite #240); good bathroom
15E continental breakfast was quite basic; bread, pastries etc fine; coffee ok, cereals and fruit limited
Hotel decor was traditional, but didn't feel worn. Great service at front desk with regards to things to do and information. Rooms were small, but cozy and clean.
The single beds were too narrow and rock hard. We both slept badly on both nights. Pillows were too thick so you woke with a sore neck and sore back. Terrible beds.
We were shown the 2 worst rooms we've ever seen in all our travels. It took 3 hours (until midnight) to get a room we were prepared to sleep in and we were told we couldn't leave the next day and cancel the rest of the booking without penalty. The booking.com site advertises modern rooms, the only renovated rooms are the suites and everything else is very old and shabby. The wifi system is appalling. We could not at any point access the hotel wifi and could only access the local free system (orange). The booking.com site advertises each room has a mini bar - no mini bar in any room, only room service. We would under no circumstance return.
Location close to train and on the main drag.
Location is very nice, because this hotel is just in front of the station and we can find easily. Additionally front desk lady was excellent. She booked champagne curve for us, so we can visit 3 champagne curves during this visit efficiently. We would like to say big thank you ;-D
Charming19th century building, location.
We saw 2 rooms: the 1st was very small and old but not charming (reminded us of Mr. Bean's home) with an awkward very large bathroom. The 2nd was a bit nicer, but the bed was anything but comfortable and inviting, and the decoration was rather tasteless, nothing like the pictures on Booking. Both were standard, but 105€ room only. We expected a charming room like the ones on the pictures, a bit disappointing for that price.
The front desk staff were very welcoming, helpful and customer oriented.
Our dinner in the restaurant was disappointing. We were basically ignored, couldn't get salt and pepper or butter brought to our table. A second glass of wine was not offered, the food was overpriced for what we got and we don't consider french fries, fried in duck fat a delicacy. The wait staff were very inefficient - the chef appeared to be doing more for customers that the waitress and the man in the shabby suit. We waited over an hour to get our food. Not impressed.
location in town , friendly and helpful staff, room small but clean, morning paper available at breakfast.
room next to elevator ( I had asked for a quiet room) despite friendly staff giving the codes for wi-fi in room, all attemps proved unsuccessfull. 2 additional details: too small coffee cups for breakfast , no tongs available to take viennese pastry . I had to use my fingers.
Excellent location, beautiful room.
To be picky, the beds were a little hard and there was no coffee maker in the room.
This is an excellent hotel if you are in transit through France. Easy access from the motorway, underground parking availability, lively pedestrianised ambience outside, convenient 2 1/2 hour drive from Calais. Pleasant décor, nice pictures on the walls, tasteful furniture.
WiFi was a bit fiddly, though it worked in the end.
Location was central. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was expensive. Tea and coffee served in flasks was below acceptable standard and trays on tables gave the experience of a cheap canteen!
The central location in a pedestianised area The desk staff The choice of restaurants in very close proximity The proximity to the cathedral
The price of the breakfast The apparent withdrawl of the cheap parking
