Noisy bar = little sleep shabby and dirty Rooms poorly furnished
Staff were exceptional to us, providing assistance when they saw a need. Good references to restaurants close-by. Assistance with luggage on both arrival and departure. Close to Metro, Sacre-Coeur, in the midst of 'small town feel' Paris.
Small circular staircase presented a problem, but we adjusted to that!
The hotel is very well located, near subway station, Sacre Coeur, Moulin Rouge. The room was clean and all the services were OK.
The couple who run the Hotel are wonderfully welcoming and help make your stay as positive and easy as possible. They were amazing after a tough day of travel!
It's clean and very great location.
Reliable wifi access Large, clean bathroom Easy in/out access (they give you a key to front door and room, you can do an easy check-out in the morning by dropping off key in box near door). Note: you do need to push HARD to open front door Great location next to Metro, Moulin Rouge, base of Montmartre hill, short walk up to Sacre Coeur amongst cute shops and restaurants. Tip: go for dinner at La Focaccia restaurant up the street - great pizza, pasta, salads and friendly staff :)
Rooms can be hot in summer (no air conditioning, which is rare in French hotels anyway.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Due to the presence of the bar you find yourself in the atmosphere of Paris.
This is a fantastic little hotel in the middle of Paris. They staff are fantastic. Helpful and courteous. The locals are very friendly and made our stay very memorable.
Grate hotel for it's price! Perfect location - metro and the Monmartre church are just in 3-5 min walk distance. Plenty of restaurants arround. The room is big enough and clean. No TV in the room and phone (at the moment) - not an issue for me. Looks like the hotel was renovated not so long time ago. The owner (barmen) of the hotel is a grate man and really helpfull. I found a hotel in Paris where I will come back again.
No bad points
The hotel is obviously an older building but it has a very nice atmosphere especially the bar where we were made very welcome by staff and locals alike.
Can't think of anything major.
The hotel was clean and central for our purpose
We were on the third floor and it was a narrow winding staircase-not good with heavy luggage. Also I was charged mistakenly a second time but the lady realised the mistake and reimbursed me - £10 short. That hotel is not on my visit again list.
The staffs are very friendly.
Close to restaurants and bars. Easy walk to many choices.
Very helpful staff! We enjoyed many discussions. The rooms are renovated nicely, really quaint staircase, and the downstairs is being renovated, Very close to everything Montmartre has to offer!
Perfect location. Great clean room and clean bathroom.
the staircase! but it was mangable :)
their picture of the hotel was very misleading in a old rundown area of paris
Perfect hotel for our stay although not for the old or infirm owing to the spiral staircase. Busy bar full of locals. Close to metro and most of Paris therefore in easy reach. Would stay again
No water or tea making in rooms and limited furniture so if you stay a few days nowhere to put anything. Other than that cant fault it.
It was more a guest house than a hotel.
Please note that there is no lift and no TV in the room! The furnishment is very basic only.
Good location, clean, convenient for metro, restaurants.
Tiny room, occasionally noisy outside, tiny bathroom
This is a small hotel in a back street. A good base for exploring from but not luxurious. The location is excellent - good links to the metro and very close Sacre Coeur in Montmartre. Also close to the Moulin Rouge. The streets around Montmartre were filled with cafes and interesting shops.
The wet and cold spring weather.
We were made really welcome.
very poor - would not recommend at all
Upon arrival, Miss Chettab greeted us at the door with a warm smile. I traveled to Paris with a friend for the weekend and this accommodation couldn't have been any more lovely. Perfect location, 3 short streets behind the Moulin Rouge, our room was even situated above one of the best bars I've ever been to. With a young crowd and vibrant atmosphere, this bar was extremely inviting, with the best and cheapest beer I found in Paris. Overall great stay. Our bed was made each afternoon and soaps and towels were clean and restocked daily. Will definitely be back here next time I go to Paris and will recommend it to others.
Though it was hard to find anything displeasing about our stay here, there were two things. Our room was on the third floor facing the street, so nights could get a bit loud as we were right above the bar. The bathroom was extremely clean and well kept, but the shower was a bit curious. To shower, you had to press a button that let out about 5 seconds of water at a time. The shower also tended to floor the bathroom floor a bit.
i absolutely loved the location, perfectly situated in the heart of montmarte. the bar beneath is really authentic and sweet, very clean room. we were lucky and had a room in the back of the house, so we slept like stones without any noise disturbance.
i think the front rooms might be a bit noisy, but luckily we did have one in the back.
