Easy to find pool was lovely. Staff friendly enough. The hotel seemed to have promoted the luxury facilities but forgot the basics,as english people we are used to and expect english channels on tv and we spoke to another hotelier who had 2 english channels. We were bored as there was nothing happening in the hotel in the bevenings. Also we had no tea or coffee facilities in the room 2 small changes that would have made a big difference. We wont be returning as we found the hotel expensive for basically a bed to sleep in.

Pleasant atmosphere; adequate facilities in the public rooms; friendly staff; convenient car park Facilities in room basic; 25 minute walk from old centre although offset by having a car park which you probably wouldn't get nearer in; dinner (fixed menu) was expensive for what it was (26 euros) and breakfast was very limited and not that cheap @ 13 euros a head. A number of things capable of improvement.

This hotle has seen better days. In spite of unseasonal heat, there were no facilities for or attempts at making room comfortable. Repeated requests for a fan were ignored. Request for mosqito spray also ignored. We managed to kill four but the rest bit us badly. Terrible night! Pretentious restaurant had at least five items not available for the overnight guest since they required ordering the day before. In a port like St Malo this was an unlikely constraint. Attitudes of at least two of the reception staff were unacceptable. Avoid this place at all costs.

Convenient location Hugely overpriced, hard sell for us to have dinner in hotel's own restaurant. Eat at La Hougette nearby, locals do! Room no better than UK Premier Lodge -told we had a 'special room, one of the best' dread to think what standard room like. Described as family suite - nope- 1 room with double bed and sofabed, bathroom dirty, cracked/broken side of bath. Only stayed here as nowhere else could fit us in at short notice. Very limited parking, poor signposting.

Swimming Pool We asked for secure bicycle storage on our booking. The hotel knew nothing about our request but offered us bicycle racks in the open in the grounds of the hotel. Had we arrived by car we would have been given parking in the hotel garage, which seems more secure to me.

The staffs have good atmosphere so that we could relax so. The pool inside they have is properly clean and enough size. The hotel restaurant serves enough good quality also with good price. I recommends it.

Convienient for parking and close to ferry port excellent reception staff. The restaurant food was not good. The service however was good. Probably need to change the chef. The room was ok but the toilet smelt bad, needed a good clean.

The bedroom was very good with adjustable bed - very welcome. The hotel was well placed for our needs - to get to the port next morning. Grounds were well kept and the service from reception and around the hotel very good. Appreciated the pool. The food was truly dreadful, soup bland and almost tasteless. Steak and chips dry and looked as though a piece of entrecote and chips had just been thrown on plate. Service so poor we left before dessert as we had waited so long (leaving most of our meal). Have to say the reception staff next morning were very good and deleted the charge (26euros per head) for our two meals and also the one drink we had. Can't fault them for this, but would have been better to have had good food. Kind of left a bad taste as we would not return and yet the rooms and facilities were good.

It was very close to the beach, which was nice to walk to and enjoy the late afternoon there. We did not eat any of our meals as we wanted to be outdoors and see a little of the town, we only had a few hours before leaving the next morning on our ferry to Jersey. Will some back to St Malo to do more sightseeing ... The shutters in the room made it nice and dark, but maybe a fan would be nice in the summer as it was very hot. When we checked in, after a long hot drive from Paris, the man that checked us in had to show us the pool, the massage chair...when we really showed we were not interested! All we wanted to do was go to our room, drop off our baggage, and get outdoors to enjoy the very few hours we had of daylight! While he is a very friendly man, he didn't 'read' the signals that we really didn't care about swimming, or massage...he should rather have let us go and then offer to help once we needed it?

Staff where amazing & helpful beyond fault. Fair distance from old town & ferry with taxis not bad to get from hotel but once in town very difficult. I went to Jersey & on return with sev hundred passengers not one taxi waiting. If I had stayed in old city hotel it would not have been a problem.

The location of the Hotel is excellent and the Restaurant was very good altough a little expensive. We booked a family room as we have 2 young children. One is 2 and the other is 4, when we booked the hotel we had to specify the ages of our children. They did not give us a cot for the 2 year old and poor little thing fell out of bed on the first night. The Hotel was very quite which I think is geared up for older people. In fact I would say its a pensioners hotel.

A hotel so excellent we returned there for another two nights on our way back. The large indoor pool is particularly pleasant, the rooms large, light, airy and intelligently laid out. Both the Thalasso spa and the beach are a short (200 metre) stroll away.

Great situation, close to the beach. On the contrary, a car or a 20 min walk is necessary to go "intramuros", in the old part of the city. Very nice staff. Wonderful climatised swimming-pool. Beatutiful and big rooms, very clean. We didn't try the breakfast, nor the restaurant at the hotel, but they looked quite fine. Good relation quality/price. I would surely recommend this hotel.

The staff was fabulous, helpful, competent and friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful and courteous. The room was clean and spacious, very good for a family. We had a room that was only accessable by a winding flight of stairs, especially difficult with heavy suitcases if you are a small and frail person. Carpark is small so sometimes had to park on the street.
