Area information
A few places to visit in Lisieux and its surrounding area:
- The Lisieux Cathedral was built between 1170 and the middle of the 13th century. This classic Gothic building is a former Roman Catholic cathedral and a national monument of France.
- The Romano-Byzantine Basilique Sainte-Thérèse was designed by the Cordonniers and consecrated in July 1954. The 45-metre high campanile was completed in 1975.
- Situated in Vendeuvre, near Lisieux, the Château de Vendeuvre houses a unique museum of miniature furniture. It has been open to the public since 1983.
- The Domaine Saint Hippolyte is a 16th century Norman manor set in St Martin de la Lieue, about 5 kilometres south of Lisieux. You can visit the farm of the domain, discover how Norman cheeses are processed and even taste them.
Deauville and its superb seaside resort, Trouville and its picturesque fishing port, and the site of the D-Day landing beaches are all within a 30-km radius of the hotel.
