Location Staff Cleanliness
The bed Best this year in France! Free parking near at hand
Booked and paid for superior room with bathtub. Room had indifferent shower only. We were offered an inferior cheaper room on the street with no refund allowance, which we declined. Clothing and cases had to be left on floor - no shelves or wardrobe.
Nearness to pedestrian zone.
Not so close to cathedral as advertised. Mold in bathroom. No shower curtain, which left floor slippery with water. Thin, small, ragged towels. Small, cramped room. Overcooked eggs, greasy bacon, and weak coffee at overpriced breakfast.
The location was fantastic (close to the train station and 10-15 walking distance to the main square and cathedral) and the actual room was everything we required.
The staff wasn't able to answer certain questions about the city that I thought they should know. This wasn't anything major, I was just somewhat surprised.
Location. Between the train station and the centre. Nicely decorated room, a bit tiny
Noisy. Neighbors and people in the street making noise. Breakfast as extra charge. bathroom very small and getting flooded every time a shower was taken
The strong smell of mould in the Bar/breakfast area.
Good location close to town centre with clean and comfortable beds
Drab and sad decor. Grubby curtain in bathroom and Nowhere to hang towels in Family room very cramped. Breakfast not included and too expensive for a family.
Room was very comfortable and well located.
Midden in het centrum gelegen
Great location Very friendly staff Good breakfast
Very small room. Breakfast was a bit expensive
The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The location is excellent just around the corner from the main drag where most of the restaurants, cafe's & bars are situated.
We had stayed in this hotel many years ago so compared to then it had improved greatly. The room (337) was very nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. But there were no drawers to put your clothes in and had no wardrobe. I think the space they classed as a wardrobe was behind the door and you could not put a hanger side on as it had very little depth. The bathroom had no towel rail or toilet roll holder. When we used the shower it flooded the whole floor as there was no screen (just a curtain) to prevent this. Having criticised the room I would stay there again but make sure we had a different room. I also didn't like having breakfast in the bar, I would have much preferred eating in the restaurant sitting at a proper table, but that was just my opinion my husband didn't mind.
Location is good, part of the staff are nice.
Old rooms, slow internet, breakfast taste was less then average, average bed comfort, no smoking rooms available.
Location: in centre of town and with parking nearby.
No towel rail. Expensive breakfast.
location, friendly staff, comfortable room and bed
bathroom where it was impossible to have a shower without soaking the whole bathroom floor. no drain in bathroom floor to take away water from shower that splashed out.
Great location and really helpful staff. They couldn't do enough for us.
Looking a bit tired and run down in places. Looks like they are part way through a refurbishment program
Location was good - just opposite the station and close to town centre
Our room was not good (228). There was one small free standing wardrobe with 4 hangers and no drawers for clothes. We were in Reims for a wedding and had to live out of the suitcase; there was nowhere to set the cases except under the shelf in the corner. There was no kettle and no iron. I asked at reception for more hangers and didn't get any. They loaned me an iron which I was afraid to use as it was cracked right through from top to bottom. The shower was over the bath but would not stay up on the fitting and kept sliding down. The glass splash panel for the shower did not meet with the edge of the bath so the water went all over the bathroom floor. A large part of the plaster board wall in the corridor was just leaning against the wall and there was a large chunk missing from one of the stairs - two obvious dangers to me!!
Location great as near everything and staff very helpful
Temperature in room, very difficult to cool down
Restaurant good, bar - potential plus
Obviously needing renovation e. g. Panel in wall in corridor level 2, plus 'patching' in room not finished to mention a couple. Overall, if renovated, and some improvements in some reception staff 'customer service' would then recommend to others.
Bed was very comfortable and bedroom very airy. Location is excellent for restaurants and sights etc. Very quiet bedroom.
Bedroom looked as though it had not been quite finished - no mirror and very limited storage space considering how huge it was. Bathroom was terrible. Very small and old fashioned and the floor and paintwork had not been finished off. Breakfast room was not big enough.
Very friendly staff. Good location.
The central location allowed easy access to the town centre and public transport.
The hotel is being renovated but the standard of the work is very poor. Rooms and bathrooms are small and poorly equipped. Bathroom in our room (renovated) had no ventilation. We stayed 2 nights but I think most people stay only 1 night so probably won't mind the low standards.
Great location to the pedestrian strip of Reims and the main train station. For a French hotel, our room was spacious.
Our room was dated and the bathroom was less than average. It appeared the hotel had commenced a renovation process (here is hoping our room was still to be renovated). The TV only had French channels.
