Nice location and friendly reception. Rooms also good.

The hotel needs some updates... lift is old and small, breakfast too expensive, some rooms were smelly.

Excellent location, smack in the middle of Nancy, on the most beautiful square in Europe. Hotel with great standing, though somewhat in disarray.

The room was too hot, the central heating radiator could not be turned off. Stifling atmosphere in the lobby.

Perfect location. Very nice and clean. We loved being right on the Place Stanislas--just a magical spot!

Brought 3 guests for breakfast on our second day and really disappointed one girl serving only, very little on display and waited a long time for coffee .Previous visit offered omelettes but not this time and frankly a little embarassing particularly for 48 euros extra

Reception staff friendly.Bed comfortable, shower good. Bar/lounge comfortable.Location and atmosphere of Place Stanislas superb.

Heating very difficult to control, we were unable to keep room temperature below 23 degrees. Very little storage space; lockers above bed requiring you so stand on it to access them not much good! Building beginning to look in need of better maintenance, E.G.signs of long term water damage above french window in our room.

The location was fantastic - the reception was very friendly and hepful - the rooms were fantastic - the breakfast staff was friendly

We really enjoyed our stay here for 2 nights! The location was excellent and the hotel met all our expectations for a comfortable city visit.

The toiletries were scarce...one soap for 2 days for 2 people. No body lotion etc . ...just missing that extra touch! Otherwise, no complaints!

Beautiful hotel. Excellent location. Very convenient for any activities and ample street parking.

The bathroom - the shower does not cover properly, so the water leaks on to the floor. The sink is not clean - tell your cleaner to use brush when cleaning the drain area of the sink.

I liked it all! Nice staff,wonderfull ambience,very nice and tasty decor room ,hotel( is very old well maintened ) ,windows soundproofed but not the walls ( you can hear people from the others rooms) .

One hint! Dont order a taxi to la gare ( I did it and I was charged 15 euros !!!!!!!!! )20 minutes ! total rip off by foot you walk 10 minutes mayby and it will be obviously faster . My mistake !

gentelman in reception from evening time was very professional and kind. try to help as much as possible. design of hotel is very classic and antique feeling. personally I prefer this style than modern chain hotels. Location is fantastic as it's in the stanislas..

Superbe hotel, in a magnificent place

We were upgrated!

The location of the hotel is excellent, and the place oozes with history and architectural beauty. The view from some selected rooms is simply spectacular, but those views come at a price. The front desk staff were very professional; they ensured very fast check-in and check-out, and provided us with good restaurant recommendations. Despite what is written in many reviews, we did not find any area of the hotel that was in need of renovation. Rather the opposite, everything was new and spotlessly clean.

We stayed at one of the so-called "royal apartments", meaning there was a small annex to the bedroom where a supplementary bed can be installed, if needed. Since that was not our case, it felt sad and a total waste of space to have that emptly, cold room that we could not make any use of. There was no wi-fi reception in the room. Despite being a very nice historic hotel, I would not stary there again until this is fixed.

Comfortable bed, central location

Lack of parking. Hotel in pedestrian only area, therefore had to walk with suitcases from a horrible nearby carpark. Clearly has we had booked through Booking.com we had been allocated the worst room. It had no view was extremely hot and looked nothing like the bedrooms featured. Resturant staff were unwelcoming, so much so that after being ignored for about 10 mins we left and found a good local Resturant nearby. Due to this we deliberately avoiding having breakfast in the hotel.

The view from the room was wonderful, just to the Stanislas Square, the suple for the bath seré L'Occitane. The building is very beatiful.

The location couldn't be better! It's a nice feeling to walk out of the hotel in the morning and face magnificent Place Stanislas! Public car parking some 30 m away (look for Barres). Very convenient. The room was OK. We will certainly stay again in this hotel when in Nancy!

Hotel was undergoing some renovations, so no kitchen available Original room had some odor issues but they moved us immediately upon request Shower (bath/shower combos) was rather difficult to get into/out because it was so deep.

Firstly, the edifice and the decor. Then of course the helpful staff, SIlvan was very helpful to me. I loved everything about this treasure trove.

Great location, although impossible to access by car. Historical building.

Overall place not in line with description and photos on the website, no feeling of luxury. Underequiped rooms (no mini-bar, minimum quantity of bathroom amenities and towels), bathroom not renovated for at least 30 years. Staff that does not appear to care about customers. Overpriced for what it is.

Good location

The hotel does not correspond to 4 stars.The hotel is closed at night. There aren't the safe, mini bar(there is the plate on the cupboard, but inside there isn't even fridge), slippers and bathrobe in usual number. I put 3 towels in the bath to be changed, eventually got 2 instead of 3.The corridors worse than in 3stars hotel. Next to this one there is the hotel of 3 stars which i liked more, the price is lower, the room-number is a little bit bigger than in this one.
