Grand Hotel Dore  

This is my fourth stay at this hotel. I love it because it is clean, well managed, an excellent value for the price, well located right next to the Daumesnil metro stop on lines 6 and 8. Grand Hotel Dore is run by a family with much hotel management experience. The management is without fail helpful and friendly and welcoming. Grand Hotel Dore is a sister hotel to Le-Grand-Hotel-Français (on Blvd Voltaire), where I've also stayed many times with great satisfaction. Both hotels have recently upgraded their rooms and facilities, and of the two hotels, grand-hotel- français has become a bit higher-end. Of the two hotels Grand Hotel Dore is the better bargain; at Grand-Hotel-Français the room rates have become substantially more expensive there than at Grand Hotel Dore and than when I began staying there back in the late 1990s. I still love both hotels and enthusiastically recommend both of them.

Very convenient location, about 20 minutes to the Eiffel Tower by Metro. Friendly staff, room clean and tidy and breakfast ( Continental) just right. Second time of staying there and will go again.

Stayed in a room on second floor this time, and was just aware of the underground noise, now and again. But certainly nothing to worry about and it did not stop me getting a good night sleep!!

Very narrow corridors

The room was with small but has sufficient facilities. It is comfortable. The breafkast was very good and worth the money.

All of our groups (three couples) are placed in the rooms with very narrow corridor leading to the room. It was very difficult to take our luggages to the rooms through the corridor and the door. We asked the reception why all of us were assigned to this kind of less desirable rooms but were told that he would mention this complaint to the manager. However, the manager had never talked or explained to us.

The staff was amazing. They were always ready to help you. The rooms were small but clean and the air-conditioning worked perfectly. The location was good because it was 50m near to the metro station. I enjoyed staying at Grand Hotel Dore. And I should turn back again in my next trip.

I had an early train from the Lyon station, so it was a good location for me. The staff was very helfull and the room was good and big.

The price was high, so no much value for money.

Visiting Musumes

Great value for money. Clean and Comfortable. Just outside the Metro gate. Good connections to the city. Friendly staff. Ample and tasty continental breakfast with a lot of croissants and danish pastries. A good place to sleep after long days exploring Paris.

Lift too small. Sometimes noise from Metro. Only one plug point in the room. So you cannot charge both phone and camera simultaneously - which we used extensively during our stay.

Clean, modern rooms with excellent bathroom facilities. Excellent location - 50 m from a metro station. Free, excellent wifi throughout the hotel.

The rooms are a bit small; however, that's pretty standard for Paris.
