As a single traveller I really booked because of the great location. It is so close to the galleries (Louvre, d'orsay and l'orangerie) and also perfect for walking to other areas. I hope to visit this hotel again in the future. I did think the breakfast was going to be real hot food, however, this is Europe and self serving is probably de rigour. Anyway, no one can starve with all of the choices they had, but I still prefer to have service at my table to save the guest going back and forth for whatever. |

The location of the hotel is excellent for sightseeing, shopping, drinking and eating (not so for the real nightlife). The buffet breakfast is good and the rooms are oké (nothing special). |

The friendly reception we received late at night, due to airline problems, was pure bliss. Our room was spotless, the linen crisp, and oh so heavenly - feather pillows! The hotel is so centrally situated that we had easy access on foot to most of the major sights of this remarkable city. A great big Thank you to all the personel at Grand Hotel Du Palais Royal for making our stay a memorable occassion. We would have liked a bar fridge - stocked with wine. |

Excellent location for resturants and the metro. Staff were excellent, very polite and extremely helpful. A very compact room, almost impossible to walk around in because of the inclusion of oversized and unnecessary bedroom furniture. |

Very central location, 1 minute from the Palais Royal Tube, walking distance from the Louvre. Very helpful and polite front desk staff. Breakfast included in the price, very good value for money, big variety of toasts, drinks. Don't pay extra if you have it in the room. Room with a lovely view and balcony. Free wireless internet in the lobby. Wireless in the bedroom (have to pay though). |

excellent location, center of Paris but in a quiet street.Very efficient and smiling staff at reception desk. Restaurant staff should be a little more smiling and friendly room 307 : no shower curtain in bathroom. Soiled walls in bedroom giving a feeling of dirty and the same for the spots on bathroom floor. |

Rooms are small, but bathrooms spacious and clean. We lived in 5th floor, and had small balcony with a view to Sacre Coeur and Louvre, so it made the room feel more spacious. Breakfast is kind of good if compared what you usually get in France and it was included to room price. The men in reception were great, couple of women seemed to suffer to be working there. Bed & pillows were good as I felt very good every morning. For every business and shopping, location next o Palais Royal, between Opera, Champs and Les Halles is brilliant... and you can enjoy great wines of Hotel du Louvre's bar without paying double staying there - it's other side of the square. The inner roof of the room was dusty, cleaning ladies probably never touch it. TV had poor picture, and for this location and regular price of the room, you'd expect a bit more 'hip' atmosphere and decoration. |

Very helpful and friendly staff. Small room as per the norm in Paris but clean with fresh towels, comforable bed with good pillows, excellent location, would have no problem recommending to a friend. Good buffet breakfast also. |

Exactly as described, nice quiet location, and close to the Seine and all the central Paris attractions. There are lots of restaurants and bars just minutes away |

It was clean and the staff were adequatetly friendly. There were strange noises in our room coming from the vent...this was all through out the day and night and on one day a man knocked and then opened the door to our room...called out 'service'..to which I called out 'no!!!'..I was in the bathroom naked coming out of the shower! I realize that he made a mistake but should have waited before opening the door or phoning first!! This was very upsetting to me. |

Reception staff was kind. Breakfast staff was a bit grumpy. Breakfast was fine, but do not expect the luxury of an intercontinental breakfast. The Standard rooms are smaller than you would expect. And indeed the rooms are noisy. Also the corridors are noisy. |
