You get what you pay for. Bare bones but nothing unacceptable. No 24-hour desk (closes at 1 am) so if you are planning on being out late not the place to be, but fine for landing in Paris the first night if you just need to rest.
Paying for wifi.
Happy with the location as it was so close to the East Railway station and all the buses so travel was easy. It was a good walk into the centre of town (40mins or so). I believe it was quite inexpensive given that we were in Paris. Being able to sit at the Juliet balcony and look over the busy street was great. Soundproofing was excellent. The staff were really helpful. The rooms were clean and well maintained -- they came in each day to tidy. We didn't eat there so can't comment on that.
We were not able to get the internet there. The lift was tiny...although we thought that was cute and had races to see if the stairs or lift would get there first. The slope on the floor was disconcerting but once again, this added to the adventure. Some of the surrounding areas were a little grimy to walk through but it is a big city......
The location, the size of the room, and some of the staff.
The room was very dated, several of the shelves were broken, as was the fitting in the shower. Some of the staff were rude and unhelpful, our room had no air con and it was very noisy (next to a church with loud bells. The wifi was very expensive and the signal was poor (would drop out).
Close to train and buses
Nothing it was great
Great location, close to trains and buses. Clean, comfortable and spacious room. We had a quadruple room with balcony and great surrounding views. No complaints at all.
Location is good, near the East station. good for arrival by train. from airport needs to take RER train takes 40 min to North station & then than by walk 5 min to the hotel. Good to stay for just one night to catch train morning train via East station.
wife is not free. our room was very small and the bedding is fairly clean. the lift is very small for two persons only without luggages.
Close to the railway station
Horrible location, drunks drug users etc. Dated room, wallpaper peeling, tiles falling off in bathroom . Exposed wiring in bathroom ceiling. Warped flooring. No sealant round bath. No plug in sink so soap went straight down. All round shoddy
It's close to the train stations.
Very noisy and hot with no air conditioning. The shower head moved freely and sprayed the bathroom all wet.
Room size was very large by European standards.
The beds were uncomfortable, and the room was too warm. Leaving the windows open allowed all the noise and cigarette smoke from below to permeate through the room.
Room was clean and roomy. Convenient access to the train stations.
Lifts were very small, barely able to hold one person. The location wasn't the best area to walk through and was a good walk to the center.
We booked the family room with a queen sized bed and 2 singles. We had plenty of room which was clean and reasonably comfortable. Our windows faced Strasbourg Blvd but wasn't too noisy and offered a decent view. Had the breakfast one morning which was great and reasonably priced. We were very close to the Gard de l'Est and have several restaurants, shops nearby. We were on the 4th floor and used the teeny tiny elevator many times. 2 people with luggage fit comfortably. We read some complaints about the elevator but we found it quirky but fully functional and better than having no elevator.
It would have been nice to have free WiFi.
Poor Service, The window room facing a dirty roof hat to close the window because of a smell of unclear air. Very uncomfortable bed I had better hotel in Japan (extra $20)
Very strategic. Located in front of gare d L est station. Area where you can found lots of halal food. You can even take the 350 bus to CDG airport in front of the hotel
No kettle, breakfast not included and eifi is not free
Value for money. Good local bars/restaurants
The tiny lift! (Glad there was one though)
We loved the building, we were there on a weekend it was a great location to the Gare du nord train station they had given away our family suite but made it up by giving us 2 rooms across the hall from each other, and the water pressure and shower were fantastic.
No door on the bathroom just a fold-back door
Have sent an e-mail clarifying the issues that incurred. Ruined our trip.
The location is terrible (near of gare de l'est), surrouding of trash in the streets. The carpet in the room is disgusting...
The receptionists both day and night are really nice and helpful.
The room is kind of old and the floor is uneven
Awesome location near Gare De L'est! Quadruple rooms are very comfortable! Close to the metro.
Wifi is not free !
No toothbrush nor toothpaste.
Was close to train station
Not a particularly good area and we did not feel that safe. It was also a long distance from the major tourist sites
Value for money Close to metro station Comfortable beds Excellent Shower
There wasn't anything to not like. This is an inexpensive hotel so I wasn't expecting a 5 star experience. I was very impressed considering the price.
location convenient to metro, trains, and buses
very small room
