Location, price and ambience. This is an old hotel so expect that. Compared to modern hotels it is somewhat Spartan, but retains the charm and elegance of it's period.

The hotel is located near to lots of bars and restaurants which was convienent. The hotel room was comfortable and clean and quiet on a night, plus the garden was neat and tidy with enough loungers/chairs which were in good condition. There was only a short drive to the main hill walks and many actually started in Mont Dore so you didn't need to use the car.

We chose this hotel as we were travelling through the mountains on our way south. It very central right in the heart of Mont Dore and is in quite a grand building. It is rather dated and need of a lick of paint but it did the job. Mont Dore is a quaint little place and I imagine it is bustling in winter.

The room was basic but clean and a good size, the bathroom was large and well equipped. The hotel is right in the centre of the town and with free parking. Nothing we would definitely stay again.

Acceuil parfait , très très sympa qualité literie : top ( et c'est rare pour etre souligné ) petit déjeuner très bien situation géographique et prix : excellent hôtel bien entretenu et bien décoré vraiment une excellente adresse à recommander chaudement à tous même possibilité de chauffage, pourtant hors saison encore bravo

Nous avons été agréablement surpris en arrivant de découvrir cette grande et charmante demeure en plein centre ville! Les gérants de l'hôtel sont aux petits soins et d'une extrême gentillesse. Les chambres sont grandes et propres. Le petit déjeuner buffet est garni et bien achalandé. Les serviettes sont fournies lorsqu'on se rend au spa dont le prix est dérisoire (5€/pers). L’hôtel est situé dans le centre ville ce qui permet de se balader sans prendre la voiture et de diner en dehors de l’hôtel. L’hôpital est à quelques mètres de l'hôtel et une fiche présente dans chaque chambre regroupe les numéros utiles de la ville (médecins, dentistes...). Bref super séjour de détente, à refaire!! Si je devais faire part d'un point négatif et qui est pour moi anodin, c'est qu'il manquerait un ascenseur et cela peut-être difficile de monter les trois étages lorsqu'on est âgé ou enceinte (comme c'est mon cas), cela dit la gérant de l'hôtel se propose gentiment pour donner un coup de main afin d'aider à porter les bagages et en fonction de ses disponibilités tache de donner une chambre au premier étage (il suffit de lui passer un petit coup de fil).

Acceuil chaleureux, et prêt à rendre service : très humain. Hôtel très calme, très bon petit déj.(à Volonté, et croissants sortant du four offerts sans compter) tout avec le sourire , déco sympathique. Lits confortables, linges très doux. Cadre général (douche dans la tour, suite bien agencé, salle commune) plein de charme, et agréable. Hôtel situé en place centrale, fermé par une grille. Le petit déj tres bon pourrais être plus continental pour le prix. Besoin de rafraichissement peinture qui s'écaille dans la douche (un peu glissante) et toilette.

Chambre familiale très spacieuse avec un coin salon. Petit déjeuner très copieux et varié. Hôtel bien situé en centre ville, avec un parking privé. Accueil chaleureux et conviviale. Un peu dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de restauration sur place.

Un super séjour !!!!! Gérante très accueillante et sympathique. Belle chambre confortable et silencieuse. Jacuzzi et sauna vraiment super. Le petit déjeuner au lit. Même avec le mauvais temps, ce fut un super séjour.

Accueil très chaleureux ,la chambre dont le décor est très raffiné procure un confort exceptionnel ou se mélange bien être,quiétude,la vue sur les montagnes permet aussi de vivre un grand moment de bonheur, la propreté est excellente un sans faute;le Grand Hôtel est superbe,le déjeuner du matin est aussi un grand moment de plaisir,rien à redire,je remercie avec ma compagne les propriétaires gérant de cet hôtel,il font le maximum pour satisfaire leur clientèle,leur accueil,leur passion pour leur travail rare de nos jours mérite d'être reconnu c'est une référence ;que les voyageurs respectueux,épicuriens,sensibles viennent nombreux dans ce merveilleux établissement,et puis que les éternels insatisfaits,râleurs ,mécontents permanent aillent au diable!!! Bravo encore
