Position 24hr desk
not the cleanest, but at that price I'm not complaining...
Shower was decent
Everything. Dirty, decrepit, I don't think they vacuumed in years. Stains and dirty linens. Wifi was not free.
Location to major railway station was great. That was the only thing good about it.
Staff weren't very helpful, rooms were terrible, paint falling off walls, shower was shocking, no where to hold soap, no water pressure, shower head dangling off wall.Lift was tiny and felt unsafe. The tiny balcony was broken and had wire to fill a huge hole in the rails.Very unsafe.Came out if lift to find double bed on its side blocking our doorway. Beds hard. Just terrible. Needs to be demolished.
The quality of service was very poor. The man at the reception was not polite and when i had a query he made me wait for 10 minutes. The hotel was half under renovation The internet facility is not free at all in this hotel .
Location good for Gare Du Nord
Level of cleanliness extremely poor. Hotel was in need of major upgrading especially the curtains and carpets.
The hotel room was disgusting. Lag of cleaning over a long period of time. The shower head was defect. No air cooling in the room. No safety box. No refrigerator. No place for a family with children. No WiFi even when it is stated in the hotel confirmation
Very satisfied with the hotel, all is fine.we have a happy trip. Thanks for their service.
It is close to the train station and the nightlife nearby is great.
In this century charging for internet by the hour (3€/2h) and terminal is just plain ridiculous, our stay would have been perfect if it wasn't for this matter.
staff is helpful
room size is very small
Close to the station
we got the old, dusty room which doesnt looked very clean.
attitude of staff
Nothing, and it wasn't even cheap.
Nothing was still attached to the walls of the baathroom, apart from the mirror and the sink (and even that was loose). Towel rail, shower, shower curtain... all gone.... This is no most poorly maintained hotel I think I have ever stayed in... The Grand should certainly be dropped from the name...
Location. Gare de Nord is very close. It is fine staying for one night especielly if there is a need for early morning travel by train or RER to CDG airport.
Good size room with good size bathroom.
Damp in the ceiling. No breakfast.
room (esp. bedsheets) was dirty, spartanic hotel was being renovated
The bathroom was good and big enough, and the tub was appreciated by my family. The hotel is situated close to the station, Gare du Nord, which means easy access to different parts of Paris and the airport.
Quite noisy street, fortunately we had our room on the other side, but still you could hear the noise well: ear plugs recommended! (I always have them when leaving home). There was mold in the ceiling :(
Very easy access to Gare du Nord and many eateries nearby. Room was simple but ample for a short stay.
Greeting on arrival was far from warm & welcoming.
There is absolutely nothing to like about this hotel.
The building is very unkept, unfriendly staff and not even a kettle to boil water. I could not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy.
The hotel is quite near to Gare du Nord.
The room is tidy but too old. We even dun want to stay at the room for longer time except sleep.
Handy for train and within walking for city
Needed a good face lift
Very close to le gare du nord, so it was very convenient for the metro and RER. The price was very good for Paris in summer.
The plumbing was in poor condition. Everything was OLD and only so-so maintained. Some rooms were being renovated so if you are lucky to get one you will be more comfortable. We weren't lucky...
The location near RER, train and bus system.
Very noisy area: Bathroom had mold like no one cleaned often. Small room
Short walking distance to Gare du Nord station. Friendly, helpful staff. Close to some good food and drinks.
Hotel in serious need of renovation, making everything appear dirty and old. The condition of the place left us wary to sleep in the beds, but the sheets are all clean and new. Don't judge a book by its cover.
The Grand Hôtel Magenta was in a great location, just a short walk from Gare du Nord and only two stops from the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur in Montmartre. It's location in Montmartre also means lots of cafes, bars, cheap grocery stores, and various other types of shopping. The rooms were clean and comfortable, there was an elevator (although it's very small), and the staff were helpful.
Everything was pretty good, the only thing I'd change is for them to have a bigger elevator. But even having an elevator is a big plus!
Location! Near to Gare du Nord. Mini market was just opposite and easy to find Halal food.
Staff were not friendly. The elevator can only fit one person and two luggage. The bathroom was clean but the carpet inside the room was dirty, looked like it was not being vacuumed for a long time.
