The staff were helpful, the terrace was nice to sit and the room was reasonably spacious. The location of the hotel is very good. We did not have a sea view room but I bet that would of been a fantastic view.

The cost of breakfast was €28 each which is extortionate and a sea view room was an additional €100. Anything you buy at the hotel, lunch, drinks from the bar is also priced very high.

Unique position at the seaside. Splendid view on the beach. Quite in winter time but to check at the hot season. Nice building, pretty, well restored. Old. Ideal for resting in the low season: not to many people, traffic less noisy. Keep rooms in front of the see.

Old building without enough aeration particularly at relaxation level. Sometimes smelling bad. Sport room quite poor. Small sleeping rooms.

Problems in bathroom: Room 305 1° bath fairly deep but whitout Help support bad !! 2° Hot water tap in wash basin needing maintenance ...because very difficult to use !! unacceptable !!

The position and the Spa facilities.

The staff were young and not always as cheerful as they might have been.

The location in the center of the beach. Possibility of withdrawing from the indoor pool to the beach.

At the front desk said that the indoor pool will cost 30 euros per person per day. The description on booking.com this is not a word. After threatening to go to another hotel we were told that we will be free pool. Later it became clear that no one in the pool does not keep attendance. However, on the inside of the door to the room as well hang a warning that the swimming pool is paid - 30 euros.

Great location and very friendly staff. Oom was very motor tale and quiet.

It is certainly not 5 star and in no way value for money.Having said that the views are fabulous and it is very clean.The staff in general were friendly and polite

Fantastic view over the Ocean. Very close to the beach and the ocean and no cars between us and the ocean. Very comfortable hotel.

Restaurant a bit pricey. It makes the claim of being high-level gourmet, but didn't live up to the expctations.

So called Gourmand restaurant was disappointing. Fully booked so maybe I am a difficult Brit but menu and food served was pretentious . ( My son is a Head Chef in well known country hotel in Sussex, England.) I have been dining well for many a year and much preferred the local restaurants the following evening . Made these comments in more detail and have received a good letter from the Director so situation may change soon . We would certainly stay there again, and reccommend the Hotel to all.

Location to enjoy those sunsets which Saint Jean de Luz is famous, but you must upgrade to Ocean view, several grades to choose

Graceful old Building having been refurbished but still with problems, whilst the Management were helpful the staff needed more training, limited menue although stated 5 star Gourmet, main downside was on arrival being offerred inferior room incorporating lift shaft, allthough we had requested upgrade, but to be fair the Manager did relocate us, always ask over many years travelling in France it seems a bad habit to offer the worse room first why?
