Easy walking distance for old town of Troyes. Although just across the road from the railway station there was no train noise. We stayed for a single overnight stop travelling south but we would all stay at this hotel again. |

Arriving by train the hotel was ideally situated right outside train station. On edge of town, 5 minutes walk into town. Big spacious bedroom with high ceilings and separate bathroom and toilet, quiet room. Very confortable room, an enjoyable stay. Swimming Pool out of use. Reviews I had read stated that it had been a grand hotel but was now faded grandeur - this is true. But I like that, and the price was excellent. A kettle in room would have been nice, as drinks machine in corridor was out of order. |

Placed right next to the main train station and at a walking distance to the city center. Very beautiful, big, clean and comfortable rooms. Nice breakfast. For this price range, that was clearly the best hotel I've stayed in france until now. The bathroom needs curtains or another arrangement for bathtub. |

Breakfast was good. Old decor, beside train station-noisy, loud disco below room, people yelling and fighting at 4:30 am when bar closed. |

Undestanding staff. They canged our room which was very depressing! Bed clean. We got a depressing room about which we complained and they gave us a better looking one but not newer in furniture or updated bathroom. |

Unfortunately the Grand Hotel is not very grand. I would not recommend it to families. It was smelly, dated, very basic. the area was poor, which is right by the train station, especially grim when my husband was propositioned by a hooker right outside the main entrance. |

good location and generous size rooms if a little excentric in style - quiet at rear despite being next to station - close parking |

The staff was very kind and helpful. The location is right across the street from the train station. The (cold) breakfast was convenient, and the quality of the food was good. I did not eat in the hotel restaurants, but there are many others nearby. The bathrooms are dated, but this is an old hotel in an old city. Everything in my room was working fine, and the mini-fridge was quiet. Difficult to take showers as there is no curtain on the tub. There is no Internet access in the room; you have to ask at the desk for a key to one of two or three areas with wired access. Noise was not a problem for me, but I have not stayed at the hotel on weekend nights. There is no air conditioning, but this was no problem in early September, as there are large, functional windows. |

It is very well placed right across from the rail station, the room was a good size and very clean. there was no hair dryer or tea and coffee facilitys in the room, the bathroom badly needed updating, a shower curtain would have been nice. the landing lights automatically turned off and when I arrived I had to use my phone light to find my door. |

Het verblijf kan worden samengevat met de uitstraling van het hotel, namelijk vergane glorie (waarvan de marmeren vloeren op de gangen nog getuigen). |
