The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size. That's about all we liked ! Hideous decor. Far from the centre and the beach. |

funky decor in public areas contrasted well with traditional decor in the room. overall a very comfortable and modern hotel with all the facicilities one would expect. We had an excellent view from our room which was large and comfortable.. We found the menu limited and expensive and our meal was tasteless and poorly presented. Eighty euros for two small pieces of fish soured what was otherwise and excellent stay in a very nice hotel. |

The quality of the food and the service in both of the restaurants which by hotel standards waas truly outstanding and certainly very comparable with top draw restaurants The lack of outside furniture to relax in the wram sunshine - a great pity. |

All public areas of the hotel are lovely with great designs and fabulous artwork on the walls. The hotel is let down by its rooms. The room we had was a lovely size but the decor and furniture (incl. bathroom) were seriously dated especially if compared to the public areas. The moment you open the door to the room you move from a four star to a two star enviroment. |

The art and artifacts in the bar , dining room and main reception areas. Improved air conditioning in the room would be an adavantage. |

The room itself was large and airy. Jacuzzi not working. No fitness room as advertised. Always seemed to be minimal staff on duty. Bar service poor. |

Easy going informality and professional staff. Excellent pool, great for families. Good parking. Food in main restaurant was a little disappointing - best to eat downstairs. Behaviour of some English late at night an embarrassment and disturbed the nights sleep - ie talking loudly and playing in the fountain area at the front of the hotel whilst well oiled plus golfers returning late shortly after that (English predictably), wobbling their way to their rooms. Its little wonder the French sometimes treat us with disdain. |

I am not convinced that we paid the rate we booked, the bill was neormous much bigger than I had expected and they didn't give me a copy or show me the items charged. Also no air conditioning in room. |

We were telly dissapointed with the hotel thought it was not worthy of 4* further from center of town than we thought It would have been nice to have had tea/coffee facillities in the room |

The style of the decor of the main areas of the hotel was varied and quirky - and very nice touch The rooms whilst being well appointed and conmfortable were at times too warm and not upto the same design standards of the rest of the hotel. |

The hotel is in a great position for the beach and access to the town. The pool changing facilities were poor and the jacuzzi was closed - disappointing |

For Euro 160 for a superior room this hotel was very poor value. No adaptors available at reception as plugs are not the normal continental type. Vodka and Orange 8 Euros in the bar which is ridiculous. Too far to walk comfortably into town. Room furnishings out of date. Had to ask twice for extra pillows. |

Quality surroundings. I have been 8 times before, and wouldn't stay anywhere else in Le Touquet. |

appreciated the swimming pool, interesting choice of decoration for public rooms and breakfast restaurant. Staff were friendly and efficient. Nice welcome. Quiet location, reasonably close to the town centre, good for bike rides/jogging etc.. overall 4 star rating is not warranted here, some of the things that were missing/could have been better: swimming pool and changing room/locker/showers very old and lots of clutter (needs a good refurbishement) Jaccuzi out of order, seating area in garden not landscaped, (view on block of flats, and vice versa) loungers uncomfortable. Games room badly equiped (pool table missing balls). |

Having read some mixed reviews before staying at the Mercure(some of which were pretty awful, although dated 2/3 years ago, we were ready to find an out dated establishment) We were proved wrong and we could not fault the hotel in any way - we intend returning asap. The bar and restaurant were practically empty - more needs to be done to attract residents and non residents during the evenings. There is obviously competition in Le Touquet, but more thought has to be given ref. atmosphere-particularly late night for a nightcap! |
