Location location location!

Nice, clean, unassuming, quiet, central, unpretentious-- though there's nothing 'grand' about it. The staff was always very friendly.

A bit expensive, breakfast should be included in the prices; paint work was going on while I was there and nobody thought they should finish it at once! French nonchalance is symphatique when it comes somewhat cheaper!

Ghm has been our prefered hotel for winter stopovers for some years, travelling to and from Australia to Ireland.In spite of renovations being in full swing we were treated royally. With a/c now installed we will book in for our next summer stopover

Very friendly staff, beautifully renovated room with a monsoon shower and modern fittings and possibly the most comfortable bed I've had the pleasure of. Such a perfect spot from which to explore Le Marais & the Seine. I look forward to returning.

Just a note that the Hotel is just finishing its full renovation, so the reception is still under construction, but this won't affect your stay.

the location was good and the room was recently updated

the hotel was under construction and there was no mention of that when booking the hotel. the lobby and breakfast areas were a mess, the stairs were barely useable, and there was dust everywhere from the construction. the staff were terrible. one of then could not tell me how to connect to wifi. after she gave me the username and password on a tiny piece of a paper, i asked what network i needed to connect to, and she had no idea. she told me she was "not a specialist." the breakfast was a problem as well. sometimes there were a waitress other times not. i went into the kitchen to get my good myself because there was no waitress, then one appeared and acted as though i had trespassed. and when she did provide "service" it was very poor. another customer service problem: i emailed the hotel 2 days before arriving to ask what RER station they were closest to. never got a reply. though i like the location, i would not stay here again because of the problems mentioned above and because it was very overpriced, especially for a hotel in this condition.

Good location. Polite, efficient, helpful staff. Attractive rooms (despite the construction downstairs!).

Very quiet room on the fith floor. Newly refurbished room with very good bathroom design! Although not for you if you want a bath as there was only a shower, but with plenty of room to fit two. Little balcony off bedroom via frech doors.

They were remodeling the hotel and the loby was a battleground. We could not use the stairs because workers were using it. Carpet in the room was ugly. Room was too small for the price. It was classed as superior room, but it was really not superiorly big.

I love the hotel room, the bed, the bathroom, the balcony everything was excellent ... I will definitely go back to Gran Hotel Malher in my next trip to Paris ...

The room was very adequate and nicely decorated, with a little balcony on Rue Malher, and the bathroom was clean and large. The hotel is located a half block from the St. Paul metro stop, across the street from an American breakfast bar, and around the corner from a launderette. What more could we ask for?

Occasionally in the evening there were motorcycles roaring up Rue de Rivoli, but it was a minor inconvenience and did not last too late.

The location is great, next to the metro stop St Paul, it is right in the Marais close to the Vosge and nice pedestrian areas.

Bed are not confortable, all four of us had backaches after the first week. I had room 14, it is on the first floor having 3 windows on the street. The noise from the street starts from 6 o'clock: lorries of all kind for rubbish collection, delivery of goods.........hard to sleep after 6 am. Room 12 was better as it was on the other side of the building having its 2 windows facing the inner courtyard. Hairdryer did not work. TV although it was a flat screen, you could only see images if you were right in front of it.

Continental breakfeast är värdelös. Ganska trångt rum.

Pleasant staff, excellent location just a minute away from the Metro, room with nice little balcony, and free WiFi available.

I would have liked to have a safety box for valuable and passport in the room.

The location if the hotel can't be beaten. Just 1 minute to St Paul metro station on line 1. There are a supermaket, a pharmacy and a bakery on the street of the metro entrance and many nice restaurants in the neighbourhood or within walking distance. The area is lively but I didn't hear much noise during the night and so I slept very well. The hotel was in the course of expanding. I was given a new room (room 61) in the new section which hadn't been entirely opened. It's basically a suite and very spacious. Only 120 euros!!

As my room was in the new section, there wasn't any Wifi yet. So I needed to go to the lobby to receive signal. In the first night, the heater system didn't work. But, when I told the receptionist the next day, they put a heater in my room before I returned to my room in the evening. The above were very minor issues and were completely offset by the good things about the hotel.

I was pleasantly surprised. Room was a reasonable size, well equipped and the bathroom was well sized and had a decent shower.. Shutters didn't close and the curtains didn't join but that is a minor niggle. Breakfast was very good value at 8€, with tons of good coffee and decent bread and croissants and good service. Very convenient for St Paul Metro

Bien situé, récemment rénové avec du mobilier contemporain Roche Bobois du plus bel effet. Personnel agréable. J'y reviendrai

El hotel esta en obras y no lo dicen en ningun sitio, cosa que no me parece bien. No hay recepcion todo esta en obras, ascensor, acceso a las habitaciones Menos mal que nos dieron la habitacion nueva y renovada

El hotel esta en obras, el recepcionista ubicado con un mobiliario que parece sacada de casa de la abuela,una imagen a la llegada muy mala recepcionista muy antipatico y nada amable Es importante que avise el hotel que esta en obras, sobretodo cuando pagas 200 euros la noche, sin desayuno por un hotel de 2 **

Hotel bem localizado, quarto pequeno mas aconchegante e moderno. Minha filha foi passar alguns dias em Londres e obtivemos desconto por conta de haver uma pessoa a menos.

O hotel estava em obras e isso não nos foi avisado. Acordávamos com o barulho dos operários antes das 9 da manhã. A recepção estava sempre muito suja por conta disso. Ambiente em constante desordem, pessoal indiferente e pouco profissional.

La situation géographique est idéale : quartier historique, ligne de métro... La rénovation de l'hotel est pratiquement terminée et les chambres refaites sont très confortables, joliment décorées. Petit déjeuner copieux. Le personnel est très cordial.

Obras na entrada.

Ondanks de renovaties aan het hotel die op dat moment nog bezig waren hadden we een aangenaam verblijf. De kamers zijn splinternieuw en de badkamer is qua kwaliteit/design van de bovenste plank. Het is een klein gezellig hotelletje die perfect gepast is voor een weekendje weg in koppel of met vrienden. Daarnaast bevindt het hotel zich op (letterlijk) 50m van de metro st. Paul èn in het hartje van Le Marais. Top locatie.

Hoewel het ontbijt erg lekker was; verse koffie, croissant, baguette en pain au chocolat; miste ik toch was yoghurt en vers fruit. Maar dat is dan ook mijn enige opmerking.
