Restaurant very good Distance from cathedral/town centre is larger than the website led me to expect. Lights in rooms too dim/ placed too low to read by. Rooms in historic part of building - except for restaurant - retain few original features.

Very comfortable, spacious room. The hotel is an attractive building close to public gardens and 10 minutes walk into the old town. Plentiful parking space.

Lovely old and well restored building. Easy walk to old town. Excellent service. Beautiful room . free onsight parking. Helpful staff at reception. A lovely hotel which we would have loved to eat in Rediculous price for breakfast so didn't bother!!! Walked to cafe five minutes away for very good breakfast in good setting for 5 euros each. Its a shame that accor take so long to get things right for their services really...I Don,t mind paying 10 euros for my breakfast but you are just being silly....you used to charge for wifi but after a long time gave that for free...sort your breakfast price out!!!!!!!!!!!

Easy oarking, pleasant atmosphere, nice to have a drink ourtside, adequately comfortable.very conveniently situated and easy to find. none. But the room has a very low window bwcause of the structure of an old converted building and it woulkd have been nice to have been offered something else.

The hotel is located in a quiet area, just outside the city centre (walking distance) in front of a beautiful riverside park and has its own garden for relaxing. The dining hall is truly amazing and the hotel hosts a gastronomic restaurant. WiFi is free and its performance is very good. Access to the rooms in the new wing is a bit complex (two different lifts and a walkway), but in some sense that's part of the hotel fascination because it is built out of the ruins of an ancient cloister.

Staff extremely friendly , parking ok ,building outside very nice ,location ok ,breakfast good . But rooms totally out of date , dirty carpets ,old /old /old . Bit a shame that the hotel is in the Mercure chain .Prices of drinks (6 euro for a glas house wine and 5 euor for a beer ) overpriced looking to the quality of the interior . However the building is very nice the first impression entering the hotel are the broken marble stairs leading to the reception ! We booked a standard room and found that it was clean and comfortable if a little cramped, probably due to the fact that the room was tucked under the roof. We arrived on a Sunday evening to find that the restaurant was fully booked for the evening but the very efficient receptionist directed us to the "Au Serat" restaurant in the city center, about 400m walk. This restaurant offered good food and excellent service so it was a good substitute. Overall, this hotel is a good location for a stop-off if you're travelling from the South of France to a ferry port in the north. The breakfast is served in the Abbey restaurant and so is in very pleasant surroundings. However, it's expensive at EUR17/each. On the other hand, you can get a "fast express" breakfast for eur7. I guess that you pay your money and make your choice!

We had high expectations of this hotel which sadly let us down, we booked our evening meal but once there we had only a small choice of menu everyone else seemed to have had a fast menu but maybe it was because we had already paid for the room also they told us, although we did not quite understand , it was Friday...... We did not stay for our puddding and certainly did not have breakfast.... Apart from that the town of bourbon was a delight.

Staff were very friendly, location and rooms were good. The grounds were nice and the restaurant was impressive (but Expensive) All the information in the room's hotel facilities was wrong. WiFi is free; the bar does open at different times than those stated and there's no Bistro. An Express is brought by tray to (essentially) the hotel foyer.

I liked leaving We were delayed by traffic. Were told they would keep the restaurant open for us though it usually closed at 9.30. Bt when we arrived at 9.45, to be told by a slip of a girl who thought it was funny that the restaurant had closed was hard to take.

We particularly enjoyed the St Ambroix restaurant - the mise en scene of salon, the excellent food and the good service. I did not like having the room charge automatically debited from my credit card. In my case, because I also booked for a friend, his room was charged was debited to my card
