Central cocation, classy old-school atmosphere, nice welcome present. It is strange to seleep bewteen two highways, the central heating was too warm and could not be turned off. |

The hotel staff were very kind. Our room was upgraded from Superior to Delux without any extra cost. A big room with antique furniture, bathlobes, slippers, etc. A coffe/tea server was also available, which is unusual in Franch hotels. The hotel may be a bit old but the atmosphere is superb. We had a very pleasant stay! The location is near the train station, but not facing a normal street; so a little tricky to find it. |

Excellent location beside the Perrache train and metro station, lovely room with a balcony, responsive staff, and the building is old, stately and dripping with character The room was hot and the thermostat controls did not work. Fortunately I was able to open the balcony doors and get some cool air in. |

The location is very good from a transport point of view as the station etc are all close by. Staff very helpfull. Wireless internet reception in the room was very poor and not worth bothering with |

Enormous room and very comfortable bed. Unusually for European/ continental hotels, a kettle with tea and coffee. Central and convenient location beside the train station, although that has the usual pluses and minuses of train stations! Having to pay additional money at a good hotel for a poor Wifi connection is fairly disappointing at this stage in internet availability. |

Nice room, separate bathroom and toilet. Surprisingly quiet considering the location. Friendly and helpful personnel. Location is somewhat unconfortable between road and railroad. |

I loved the hotel's period decor, the comfort and detail of the rooms, great staff, great breakfast and dining room. Distance to town centre. The walk isn't too long but is via station and a 'place' that is a little seedy. |

The hotel was easy to find, and it's well placed: it's near to the city center, and it's close to the train, bus (the airport shuttle arrives right near the hotel), and metro stations. Well appointed rooms. Internet access is ridiculously expensive. (It's funny how one-star hotels almost always have free wireless, and four-star ones charge the monthly cost of a DSL line for 24-hour access.) Also, the staff partially cleaned the room a couple of times despite the "do not disturb" sign I left on the door. |

Great location, very quiet despite being next to a train station, room was spacious and the a/c was wonderful! We had requested a non-smoking room but only smoking ones were available. |

comfort of the room - friendliness of the staff - really good value for money There was a weird smell in the lobby due to an artificial air-freshener |

The hotel is nearby a large train/bus and metrostation. Perfect location to use public transport. The room was very spacious and clean. A modern bathroom. The hotel has a grandeur of days past but that is the charm of this hotel. the interior of the room was somewhat outdated. the elevator can be a nightmare for those who do not like small spaces. |

Accessibility to the main road and railwaynetwork The hotel has a faded grandeur and the mournful air of a once proud establishment being passed from one owner to the next - much like cars feel as they move down the rankings of garages that will sell them as they get older. |

Room was lovely as was bathroom. Very good value as last minute deal but very expensive normal rate that I would not have paid. Parking is scarce and awkward, and location is a nightmare to drive to/from. Staff are efficient but not particularly friendly. Bar service was poor for a 4* hotel. |

The hotel is quite sombre, difficult to get to by car. The bookings.com rate for one night was the best for the stars published. Though I would not agree with 4 stars for this hotel, the rate was good anyways |

I arrived very late and they welcomed me and checked me in without delay. They even upgraded my room at no charge when no other non-smoking room was availabe in the category that I booked for. Fantastic service!! |

It was clean and comfortable and not too far from the city centre. It was a little out of the way for eating out and visiting the sights particularly at night. |

Unique old-style decoration and nice staff It was indeed close to Perrache station but the atmosphere around the station was not so safe. The hotel was in the dead end of a narrow road which is also not good for safety. As the hotel itself was agreeable, I hope it would improve soon. |
