Best Western Grand Hotel Bellevue - Grand Place

Muchas cosas: Aislamiento deficiente de la luz exterior, muebles un poco deteriorados, deficiente funcionamiento de los desagües del baño, mando a distancia del televisor estropeado, termostato del sistema de calefacción/refrigeración anticuado, colchones pasados de moda, decoración ecléctica y con poco gusto...

The large size of the privilege room and the central location in the vieux ville; The free use of the business centre computer; The manager was very helpful when the internet connection failed.

Having booked a privilege double room for 4 nights, was very disappointed that only one bath robe was supplied for two people.Similarly, although the tea/coffee etc facility in the room was appreciated, only one hot chocolate sachet was supplied and had to request replenishment of other supplies eg milk, coffee, biscuits. In light of the Euro 200 /night tarrif, this seemed to be niggardly if it is Best Western policy. Would tend to avoid Best Western, Europe in future as a result of our experience at the Grand Bellevue in Lille.

Terrific location but unfortunately the hotel does not offer parking. Reception staff at the hotel were exceptional and helpful in terms of offering recommendations for dinner and activities during our stay.

The hotel is a little tired and dated. It appears they have undertaken some renovations in the rooms, but may do with some more.

Love the hotel and it,s location and somewhat faded grandeur

Location is ideal - central but very quiet due to double glazing. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel as there were some nice cafes very nearby.

Excellent staff, spoke English and couldn't help enough. We travelled with our 1 year old and they set up the room perfectly for us with cot and change mat. I think they also put us in a quiet room away from others which helped. Fantastic location right by the Grand Place with excellent views if you get a room. Very quiet, excellent soundproofing and generally a really pleasant and relaxing stay.

The foyer had a whiff of drains which wasn't the most pleasant of welcomings, but to be fair so did the street nearby so I doubt it was their fault. Breakfast was 13 euro which was steep, particularly given the plentiful (and no doubt better) alternatives just a short walk away from the hotel.

It's location in the centre of Lille is unbeatable . No hotel car park but there are at least 3 multi - storey car parks very close by and the rates per 24 hours are quite reasonable . We used Printemps and 24 hours cost 13.60 euros

No hotel bar or restaurant . Breakfast is available but only to be served in the room , I suspect 13 euros for it will be excessive !

Rather dated Toilet separate from bathroom with no wash hand basin in cubicle Very noisy plumbing Soundproofing between rooms poor - could hear other peoples conversation through wall Booked a prestige room but the 'prestige' factor was a 3rd bed in the room which wasn't required. Could have been furnished much better without the extra bed.

The hotel was 10 minute walk from lille europe and was ideal for the shops and resturents.

Had a late night friday and did not get out of room till 12.30 so room did not get made up or cleaned

We were delighted with the location near the Grand Place, many basseries and restaurants, subway system, and the tourist office. The staff were excellent, very nice and helpful, and the free wifi was an outstanding bonus. The elevator worked well. We felt very comfortable.

I do wish that there had been more English television stations available and that the adjoining Bar was more oriented towards an older crowd. The breakfast was very good, although slightly overpriced at 13 euros each.

Wall to wall carpeting with a damp smell. On the expensive side for what it was
