location was across from train station- very convenient. nice rooms, clean and spacious. provide bathrobes and slippers. 2 great restaurants in Hotel- a traditional french bistro and a michelin star trendy place. elevator access to all floors. nice lounge waiting area.
late check in time. the bathroom is very narrow and small though clean and well equipped. no conditioner or lotion in toiletries provided.
The Auberge restaurant was excellent and had a wonderful cosy feel. The Rendez Vous restaurant deserves it Michelin star! The room felt quite luxurious, as if Best Western has acquired a grand old hotel. Don't miss the lovely stained glass panels in the staircase. Short walk into old town.
the triple room was good for a travel group, like us, with three mature grown-ups. wifi was really fast with the fact it is in Europe..(about 1.6mb per sec)
we asked the reception twice times of room amenity but they ended up not coming to us.
Easy when you travel by train. The hotel is exactly opposite from the train station. 15 min walk to the town center. Comfortable rooms, very good service from the staff
Both hotel restaurants were closed on Christmas Eve for dinner.
"Old world flair" hotel located across from the Belle Epoque train station. Rooms comfy and clean with views of Vosges. We ate in the "traditional restaurant" which was full of character.(Highly recommended!) Lots of varity on the menu, with its Alsation dishes...those of which we tried were excellent and great value for the money. Even though the place was packed (New Year's Day) the service personnel were efficient, as well as friendly.
As it is a bit of a walk to the the town center, might not be favored by all.
The hotel is in front of rail station, so I would recomend for who goes to Colmar by train. The room is confortable and staff is friendly. But the hotel is not so close to the center ville, it takes about 15 minutes walking.
Close to the railway station.
We found our room very comfortable but the lighting in the room was very dark and light placements were not in good positions. We noticed the breakfast room also was very dark.
soft pillows-ability to adapt bedding to personal taste (and nobody put them back again) offer of extra towels in the evening
Slightly noisy opposite the station
Location, parking, restuarant, staff, room.
Expensive drinks in the bar, bar service very slow.
We had a bedroom localized in the new bilding and the quality was very nice: clean, very comfortable, big, good heating,... Perfect! And only around 10-15 minutes walking to the center.
- Location - Clean - Easy to reach and park
- 1-star restaurant is on the decline
The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and about a 10-minute walk from the center of centre ville. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We would stay here again.
The friendliness of the personnel.
- connection to the old town - connection to the restaurant near hotel Bristol - people where very dog friendly
very overpriced 187,00€ for one night and breakfast is too much for Colmar near the station.
The restaurant was elegant serving excellent food.
Access to the underground car park was difficult and limited space.
you can hear busses starting from train station from 5 PM on
Everything was great, as you'd expect from a major hotel chain.
The fact that it's quite a long walk to the centre of the town. 17 euros is expensive for breakfast offering nothing out of the ordinary
This hotel is located at the entrance to the downtown portal and thus is excellent for walking to historical sites. The breakfast was excellent with a large buffet assortment and large windows overlooking the garden. Bed was comfortable.
Parking garage seemed very dark and was a bit scary.
Staff was very nice.
Room was very difficult to get to. Complicated in and out of halls. Was plain. Shower door didn't work and flooded the bathroom. But mostly we were looking for the charming old town of Colmar. Not to be seen. I came back later and did find the old town which was lovely. Sorry we missed it the first fime.
Proximity to station and to city centre. Helpful and welcoming staff. Nicely appointed room. Surprising degree of atmosphere despite it being a 'chain' hotel.
Expensive restaurant charges (including breakfast). Car parking can be problematic although the staff were as helpful as they could be in directing us to nearby facilities.
Excellent brasserie attached to hotel, 10 minutes walk into centre, easy access by car. In spite of being located opposite tbe Gare the rooms were very quiet. Wifi worked well.
Comparing it with other hotels in the region it is expensive. No BBC World. Underground car park tight to use!
Right across from the train station with a very helpful staff. The bed was comfortable and the room was soundproof.
The breakfast was way overpriced at 17 EUR. The train station had much more reasonable prices. The shower soaked the whole bathroom due to its design- no lip and a small door blocking it off.
Across from the train station. Staff were nice and helpful. Easy walking distance to sites in Colmar. The room was quite nicely decorated and had everything we needed. It was surprisingly quiet being so close to the train station.
The bed was not comfortable.
