Proper hotel which is located next to the train station. In the night we sometimes hear the trains, but we didn't experienced it as a problem. We didn't used the breakfast facility because it costs € 15 per person per day. In the city centre you can have breakfast, smal but good enough for us, for € 5 and you could sit on the terras.

Our stay at the Best Western was excellent, and only a few minutes walk from the old town of Colmar. We managed to get a great deal through Booking.com and were pleased with the night stay enrolee to Switzerland, Austria and on to Italy. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful and there is even free wifi. The room was clean and luxurious and overall a 10/10 from us!

The room was spacious and clean. The city (Colmar) is very nice and worth visiting. The hotel staff is very professional and helpful. The price is good for such a touristic city. I enjoyed my stay.

I selected this hotel after surveying many hotels on the website & only this one had no negative comments. And that turned out to be a wise decision as this hotel has everything going for it. A great location - bang opposite the train station yet a 10 min walk to the city center. Great staff who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Varied dining options in the two restaurants. And they have a spa with a hammam and a highly experienced masseuse. We were very happy with our weekend and would surely recommend this place to anyone wishing to visit Colmar The bathroom did not have a shower curtain; rather it had a partial screen which meant that the entire bathroom floor got wet every time we had a shower There was no safe in the room which is nowadays a standard feature in most hotels

Our late check-in was accepted. I easily found a parking space just in front of the Colmar station & the hotel in spite of the Christmas market season, and we did not need to pay for the park ticket during the night (until 9:00 A.M.). The space of bed room and bath room were large enough. It was good for my dog also. Although it locates just in front of the station, I had no complaint about the well-built soundproof room. The hotel locates so far away from the city center to walk to the Christmas market place under such a very cold temperature condition. On the second day, we drove to the center and found the parking place. When we have any children or elder families, I don't recommend to walk in the winter.

Very friendly staff during our stay. The breakfast buffet was very good and the front desk provided good tips regarding food and things to see during our visit. A lot of late and early activity outside due to its location near train station.

We liked the central location, near the train station and within easy walking distance to the old town, a little further to petit venise. The room was large enough and comfortable, very clean and modern. We had free wi-fi right there, so didn't have to look for an internet cafe. The brasserie downstairs was excellent and we ate dinner there every night. We noticed that it was crowded with local people, not tourists, so the quality was good, the prices reasonable, the food typical of local cuisine and beautifully prepared. The staff was attentive and helpful even though our French was poor and their English was not much better! We felt that the breakfast buffet, while lavish and delicious, was to expensive. We did eat there every morning, but didn't feel we ate enough to justify the 15 Euro charge. We've stayed at other hotels in Europe-- Sweden comes to mind, also Bolzano in the Dolomites--where an equally, if not better buffet, came with the room, free for guests. I think the Grand Bristol should reconsider this charge.

After traveling all night from the United States and then taking a tgv to Strasbourg and a train to Colmar, it was absolutely wonderful to exit the train station and see the Grand Hotel Bristol right across the street. We were warmly welcomed, and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout our three day visit. OIur room was clean and comfortable. We were not bothered at all by noise of the trains, and our room was on the station side of the hotel. We had a very pleasant visit.

Hotel in front of the station and very practical if you want to move by train. You dont' hear the noise from the street because the hotel's isolation is excellent. Furthermore, Colmar is very calm at night.

One night on the way to the Italian lakes. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Independently owned and run Best Western affiliate - and it showed in the quality. Location opposite station so book a room on the quieter back of the hotel. Would definitely use again. Not really a complaint but there was noise from trains on the front of the hotel where the outside dining and bar area are, but this did die away after early evening.

Great location for day trips with train station, car rental, taxi and bus service across the street. We heard no noise from the trains and our room was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and very clean. The hotel has a large cafe and also a gourmet restaurant but only offered a large breakfast for 15 e but did not offer a reasonably priced breakfast.

The staff were super friendly and efficient. I cannot compliment them enough. And the food - though very pricey - was very good quality. The Michelin star for the main restaurant is well deserved. Shame that our room didn't have aircon, but the big fan worked reasonably well. You must like Alsacien food to really get the best out of the menu!

“Friendly, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Our room was spacious, imaginatively decorated and well appointed . The hotel is perfectly situated at one end of the recommended medieaval city walk. The breakfast, which was included in our tarriff, was excellent and plentiful and the seating very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and helpful - in fact one of them kindly recommended local restaurants to us and then booked them for us when we had made our choice” Rosemary, Kingston Upon Thames |

“The hotel was the chosen because it was close to the centre of Colmar and was 80 euros for a double - only 10 euros more than the other two star hotels which were all near rthe railway station. Excellent staff, great location, very comfortable room with airconditioning. Should be 3 star.” Matt, Frankfurt |
