Location is perfect. Right outside of the main streets, so there is no noise, however it is very close to the center and beaches. It is also very close to intercity bus-stop what could be very useful for those who travel around Corsica by public transport. In the description of the hotel the room which I booked was described as comfort double room. Price difference was not sufficient, however it was said that "some" rooms have sea-view and I decided that bigger room has more chances to have it. It is also said that room size is 32 sq.M. However my room was definetly of smaller size even though it was written that it is comfort room. A lady at the reception said that she doesn't know anything and it is Comfort room. So either there is a mistake in description or the hotel provided different room.

It was very close to the main attractions, and walking distance to beaches It wasn't clean at all. It was more like a hostel. The room was poorly furnished. And the hotel in general needs serious renovation

The location for the price is excellent-it is right in the old city center one street up from the pedestrian street. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the bathroom was more than adequate. It's an old hotel that has been nicely maintained. A parking tip: The hotel does not have parking but the front desk told us about a 24-hour parking lot for 3 euros just down the street--ask about this! Also the check-in folks were spot-on in recommending food! The best place for a cafe is on the same street but down the road a bit, before you get to the end of the street (next to the chain "artisan" boulangerie, which are all over Corsica)...you'll see all the locals gathered for cafe in the morning! The A.C. in our room was not working adequately...

The rennovation of the old building was very good The personnel was a little bit indifferent, there was no bar services in the hotel, the general way for the corsican hotels to not include the breakfast in the price.

Je voulais séjourner au Grand Hotel que j'avais repéré la dernière fois à Calvi en grande partie à cause de sa situation géo en pleine centre ville et son balcon panoramique fantastique face à la mer à l'étage de son resto. Quel plaisir de prendre son petit-dèj là-haut le matin et encore de siroter un Cap Corse sur le balcon le soir. Magnifique. Je suis comblé. Pour l'hôtel, c'est un peu moins glorieux, c'est un vieux institution et tout est un peu bancale. Notre junior suite n'était pas vraiment ça mais la salle de bain était grande avec une bonne douche et les lits jumeux confortables. Le mini frigo par contre tiède. Calvi est une ville bruyante l'été côté rue mais hors saison c'est parfait. J'étais content de mon séjour là et je retournerai sans problème. Et un staff très sympa.
