The location was perfect and the staff very helpful. The building across the street was undergoing a complete renovation. Every morning at 730 the noise was unbearable and continued all day until around 430. There was no way to sleep with this noise. Not even for a quick 30 minute afternoon nap if you wanted. Any room with a street facing window will be miserable if you like a quiet morning before exploring the city. Please check to see if the construction has finished before booking a street view room. And don't believe the staff when they say the work is not supposed to start until 9am - it starts at 730 during the week. There is no construction during on Saturday and Sunday. But during the week - its a noisy hotel. If no construction is happening, this is a perfect hotel. |

Great location. 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame and to the Louvre. Very close to the underground and shopping area (not luxury shopping). Room is not too big but it is ok considering this is Paris. The hotel is located on a side street so you avoid all the traffic noise. I would go again to this hotel. The WC had no window. Breakfast is ok although repetitive if you stay more than 2-3 days. |

Staff was willing to help with directions for the metro before we left the US, which was very kind. Room was very small but clean. Nice that they had a small refrigerator in the room for drinks thought it would be a little fancier than it was, based on the reviews and photos of the hotel's website. |

Proximity to shopping and transport., both very good. Some very good restaurants in the area. Usual Parisian shoe box room, although nicely decorated. No heat control in the room, which was a hot house in the early evening. Shower room quite small. No tea/coffee making service. No iron in room with board, although there is a small room near reception you can use to freshen up clothing. Lane outside hotel used as sitting area for local down and outs! |

The location was excellent. 10 minute walk to the Louvre. 10 minute walk to Notre Dame (where you can get on the hop on hop off bus). Staff was excellent and spoke english. There was an entrance to the metro half a block from the hotel. One block away was a major street with lots of major shopping stores. Mcdonalds was one block away (if you like fast food). The seine was only a block away. A grocery store was half a block away where you could get good wine for cheap. Lots of little cafes in a two block radius for breakfast/lunch/coffee. We stayed in a double room which wasn't big but nice. The room had a safe. The bed was nice, not too hard or soft and the pillows were good. Hotel has a small elevator. Overall great experience Not much room to store luggage if you have more than 1 big suitcase. |

Great location, perfect for a long week end in Paris. Metro station is around the corner. Quiet street, no major noises. Close to an area full of restaurants and bars across Rue Rivoli towards Sebastopol street very convenient at night, and happy shopping during the day. Personnel was very helpful and warm. Room 405 was what we expected, normal size for an historical building The only negative detail was the shower, as it would swicth from very hot water into cold water in matter of seconds... but a minor thing. |

Good location for access to major landmarks in Paris via public transportation. Very little space in the room, hard to even place a large luggage bag. No refrigerator. |

Positive experience! Nice interior - very "French" old fasioned - as staying on the country side - in a mansion. The room was great for a family of 3 (would easily take 4). Kind of two rooms so suitable if you travel with children. The personnel very friendly and in walking distance to restaurants, bars and Notre Dame, the Louvre etc. |

This hotel was fine for our short stay in Paris. The staff was friendly and accomodating - complimentary champaign is served in the lobby each afternoon. The first scheduled night of our stay, however, there was an electical problem, so when we arrived there we found that they had booked us into another hotel, The Louve-Rivoli, one block away, which was actually nicer, since the room was larger and cost less, even including breakfast. The location was certainly excellent for seeing the city. We did like this hotel, though were a little chagrinned that there was a better, less expensive one so close by. |

The hotel has a very good location and what is the most important and realy rare in paris is the quiteness of the neighborhood. Is really uncomfortable not to have a fridge in the room. Also the bed is quite small for tall people |

We have stayed at the hotel once before, three years ago. It was as we remember. The staff are very helpful and welcoming, the building is interesting, quaint although showing its age in places. The location is the biggest plus with the area developing and offering better choice of eating places. However, for site seeing the hotel is superbely located. We liked the way the two rooms (one twin and one double) were linked in a family style as we had our mothers with us (85 and 80), so they had their own facilities but we were on hand should there have been a problem. Overall the hotel did what we wanted it to do and made it easy for our elderly mothers to visit Paris for the first time and enjoy some of the main sites. Thank you. The double room was located on the interior of the hotel with a view of other rooms. The air flow was very poor and even with the air con on the room was very stuffy. If the windows were left open the machinery of the hotel down below was noisy and the lights and noise from other guests was disturbing. The decor needs a revamp and the bathroom did not have any extraction. |

Convenient location for visiting museum, art center, and the oldest church in Paris. Continental breakfast at 11 Euro is a fine price. The mattress was too soft, so not good for the spin if you had to sleep on it for more than two days. |
