The Grand Hotel Dechampaigne is quaint, quiet and a cozy place to stay near Louvre. Metro close and plenty of nearby shopping and cafes. Definitely a value for price and location. |

Hotel was nicely situated in a quiet side street. The stair steps were very small, but there was an elevator. |

I've stayed here before. It's in a great location -- very central but quiet. Rooms are tiny but very comfortable and lovely, and the staff is great. It's good for a honeymoon on a budget -- you get a lot of charm & romance, but not the amenities of a fancy hotel It's a three star at best -- the safe in the room broke repeatedly, and the wifi in the rooms was sporadic. We were also in one of the smaller, less expensive rooms, so there wasn't a minibar or a lot of space. But we knew what we were getting, and we really like staying at this hotel. |

The front desk staff was courteous and responsive, The location was quiet and convenient. Lobby area inviting. The room was an overdone and aging old French B movie. The dacor was late Louis the 15th.. |

The hotel was quiet and the staff was helpful. The room was extremely small, difficult to navigate and dark. The access to the room was labyrinthine, causing concern in the event of an emergency. Given the amenities, the price seemed high, even by Paris standards. |

The position of the hotel was excellent, it was on a quiet road yet close to a supermarket, a metro, the Seine and the shops on Rue de Tivoli. The staff were very pleasant and I would definately return to this hotel. A Typical french hotel: small rooms with basic facilities. No tea/coffee making facilities and prices in bar very high. Rooms/corridors could do with a re-furb. |

The location was superb. We were able to catch the Metro right on the corner, or walk to any where we wanted to go. The rooms were charming and the hotel staff were so nice and helpful, |

The staff was extremely helpful, you can tell that customer service is a top priority, a very professional team, and just excellent all around. In addition, the location of the hotel is very nice. Close to the Metro, parks, shops, restaurants, attractions, and very safe. There is also a grocery store around the corner open during the week that is quite convenient. |

It was the staff was very friendly, helpful, and the hotel had a nice charm. Very hard to find, the room was tiny (smallest in the hotel based upon the floor plan) We barely had room for our luggage. |

The rooms, each one decorated uniquely, are beautiful and very romantic. If possible, ask for one with the bathtub - It's more spacious. The location is great - 2 blocks from the Louvre, and right beside a central Metro station. The staff was also very corteous and helpfull. |

The hotel is exceptionally well situated for touring. It is located close to the Louvre and Rue St. Denis (loaded with restaurants) and the Pompideau museum as well as a couple of Metro stations and 2 blocks from the Seine. Our room had a little balcony from which we could look out over the roof tops which was a pleasant way to get some air and see a different elevation of Paris architecture. The hotel is an older building so you have to be looking for a taste of history in your accomodations. Some of the features of the room weren't perfect - the teapot didn't heat and the built-in hair dryer didn't get hot but the room though small was otherwise very comfortable. |
