Breakfast can be improved, after all one expects excellent food when in France
We really weren't there long enough to appreciate everything about this hotel but just long enough to appreciate what they did have. I requested rooms on the first floor because of an elderly person we were travelling with. We were accommodated with 2 first floor rooms. Our room was very large, decorated with antiques and had a huge marble bathroom. It was such a fun room to enjoy with the antique armoire, wallpaper, headboard ... etc. In the morning we had an amazing breakfast (a little spendy, but for what you get, I changed my mind on that) in a very cool lime green decorated dining room. The service was impeccable and the food excellent. They parked our car for us when we arrived ... yes ... they have parking on site! I would definitely love to stay there again and stay a little longer. It was extremely quiet at night and in the morning.
The only thing I can think of was you had to hold the shower head while taking a shower .... but really not a big deal.
Design of the Hotel, the Staff who was very friendly, the Rooms, the location and the possibility to park the car at the Hotel with no additional costs. Quiet area you can really sleep well without being woken up by traffic. It is a short walk to the centre and to Notre Dame. Would go anytime again!
I was on a business trip, hence needed to work with laptop. Not having any real table to work on it made it a bit unconfortable. However my bad as I did not read the details when I booked it.
Easy walking distance to city centre
Everything first class breakfast lovely room stayed 5 times never get bored with Reims
A nice hotel in a quiet area of town a short walk away from the centre. The staff were very helpful and spoke good English. Car parking was at the hotel . Small swimming pool was a bonus. Lovely early morning swim. So not a chain hotel very individual.
Maybe slightly dated but unique.
As far away from a chain hotel as you can imagine Super friendly and helpful
The staff were wonderful - friendly and efficient. The building and our room were stylish. 15 minutes from the centre of town - about right for us.
No tea-making facilities in the room
The staff was especially helpful. We will definitely return.
Loved the room, the breakfast was great and the car was parked in a safe place.
Was not able to stay longer.
Lady in the reception was very helpful, gave excellent advice regarding restaurants etc. The location is good, within walking distance to the center. Very calm and quiet. Nice bed linen, toiletries and towels. Good parking.
The breakfast was very uninteresting, fruits from a can (!!!), industrial bred and pastry, tasteless coffee. Not something you expect when you are at a nice hotel in France. Wi fi was not great and the TV small. The decoration of the hotel is over the top, heavy.
The hotel is a ten minute walk to the centre in a quiet residential area. The hotel was very calm and relaxing. The bathroom was huge and featured an oversized bath tub. The breakfast was served in a beautifully decorated room and although 15e dint the cheapest breakfast the quality was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Noisy air con-kept waking up. Expensive for what you get. Breakfast not included, nowhere to have breakfast locally apart from hotel.25 euros each for continental breakfast. Expected to be in grand old hotel but put in modern annex
The place is very comfortable, the staff is very friendly and the room is ample
Care of our motor vehicle over night
Slow service and lack of staff. The high cost of room was not reflected in the overall quality
This was a beautiful hotel, full of original 1800's features, a rarity in Reims. Generous size room with equally large super king bed. Staff service was excellent, friendly and helpful.
Only a very small criticism, we would have liked a stand in Shower.
Staff were very helpful and managed to get us a booking for Saturday night dinner, with only two hours notice. Our room was comfortable; only a bath in the bathroom - it would have been nice to have had a shower in there.
Breakfast was VERY expensive for what it was. We would go elsewhere next time if we return.
I cannot fault this hotel. Easy access to the town, quiet, extremely comfortable and all serviced by staff who genuinely cared
Breakfast not the best especially as was not included
Full of character!
Lovely hotel with character. Rooms not large but very comfortable. Bathroom very good size, supplied with lovely fluffy bathrobes and gorgeous toiletries such as body lotion, shower gel, shampoo etc. Very clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend.
Can't think of anything!
Very charming young lady at the front desk. We booked a superior room right above the check-in desk which was large and comfortable. Very nice overall experience.
Breakfast was okay, but not particularly good.
Comfortable hotel at a fair price. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Looks as though it was once a grand hotel indeed but now comes across as a bit like staying at grandmas house. Pool is lovely but it felt awkward that you had to let them know in advance what time you wanted to attend. Staff are delightful.
Our room was on the ground floor and at night roller shutters were closed which meant no fresh air could come in. The wifi is dismally poor. Breakfast is nice enough but the price was crazy and as there is nowhere nearby there is a captive audience! Location was the big downside. We knew it was a 15 minute walk to town and were fine with that. What we didn't realise was that there is nowhere nearby to even get a cup of coffee and croissant.
Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful. The rooms are exceptionally well decorated and comfortable, although small. Lots of "old world" charm and character throughout. Bathroom superb. Excellent secure parking - car taken care of by staff.
Really this establishment should not be described as a "hotel". It has no dining room and only serves breakfast (of which more later). Thus, it is only a B&B, and an expensive one at that. Nearest decent restaurant is about 15-20 minutes walk away. Breakfast is ridiculously expensive and is not inclusive. €15 (per person) gets you a croissant & coffee and little else. They call this "continental" - to get a "full" breakfast, add a boiled egg (apparently the only cooked item on offer) and the price rockets to €25 per person. Also, this is the only establishment I have ever seen in over 50 years of international travel that has an itemised breakfast list - down to individual prices for things as mundane as the jam to put on your bread! Utterly ridiculous - looks like the place is run by a Dickensian accounting clerk!
Friendly , comfortable, good location
