Grand Hôtel du Nord    

We had a lovely comfortable room,it was in the town centre,parking was easy,the staff were excellent.

We liked everything it was good value for money.

Comfortable, in a good location, the room was very new (at first entrance we even could smell some paint)

Noisy surroundings (Hemingway) but if you are a good sleeper or you don't go to bet at 9 pm, it's alright. There were no TV remote control and when I asked at the front desk if they could print my boarding passes the guy said that computer is only for work (but finally after a discussion he let me print the passes..) And the sower was really slow (maybe some problems with pressure) because I had to wash my head for about half an hour, when usually it's 10min or so..

Room was very nice, with two windows, and good city view, multy-language spoken staff and very good city location

the location was good for amienitys ie shops and sight seeing and restaraunts

the noise from surrounding bars until 3am everynight mainly because of the students

The locatin was good to access the central of Reims and sightseeing spots.

This hotel had been in middle of remodeling when I stayed.

I could hear the noise from the other rooms.

I stayed here because I had to get to Vouziers; the receptionist Lionel told me there were no buses or trains. He carefully checked out everything for me and found I could get a train to Rethel then a bus to Vouziers. I owe him many thanks he was amazingly helpful. The hotel was fine. I read complaints of noise but even though I am a light sleeper I slept well, so....I Can't comment on that. All in all, great value. Thank you, hotel staff. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic value for money! The redecoration project is almost finished and it was a charmingly traditional hotel. Beds were very comfy, new showers were vey efficient. Breakfast room was spotlessly tidy. Continental breakfast was good value for money too. Location was perfect, Reims has a great vibe. Car park lift is just outside hotel!

The noise the state of the room

The staff was friendly and very helpfull. They spoke English and some Spanish. The hotel is centrally located, close by the train satiation and to many bus routes and the trams. The Christmas market was right outside our door. Nice restaurant by the hotel with nice food and good prices. Would definitely stay again!

There were some current works of renovations and there was a small smell of plaster on the floors being renovated. We were not accommodated there. Othe than that; great

Best thing about the hotel was its location in the city centre, although it could be a bit noisy at night despite double glazing being fitted.

The en suite was poorly maintained with the sink tap dripping and the toilet being badly stained and flushing erratically.

Location is perfect, right on the main shopping street

The room's frontdoor was not soundproof, so everything happening on the corridor can be clearly heard, which was clearly disturbing our sleep. Windows were facing the street and while they were better soundproof, but since the street along the hotel is full of party places one cannot escape the noise. Also the bathroom was not well maintained, however it was more or less clean. Nevetheless, this hotel is acceptable for a over night sleep.

Center of the city

The room was old and poorly soundproofed. The "Hemmingway" bar was 50 meters down the street and loud into the night. Parking instructions need to be clarified as one must drive int the pedestrian zone and down under the area.

Small room . No place to sit except on the bed.

Although the hotel is undergoing refurbishment they tried to make it as comfortable as possible for guests.The staff were very helpful.

We stayed at this hotel because it is close to the station for an early departure. Breakfast area available to make tea/coffee

Noise!!!! The walls between the rooms are so thin you can hear "everything" from the next room. Rooms facing the street are also very noisy

Having visited a number of "budget" hotels on my recent trip around europe, this was definitely the worst. The noise and poor state of rooms/hotel was what let this place down.

The location was fantastic. A five minute walk from the station and in the heart of the city.

It was noisy and there was no airconditioning.

The location was excellent, In relation to parking, eating & drinking, shopping and visiting local attractions. The Hotel is currently undergoing renovation so do not be put off with first appearances as the reception area is perhaps not as appealing as one would wish. If however the rest of the hotel us updated to the standard of the room we stayed in then it will be a gem. The staff were excellent.

Crummy, old, hotel. but the price and location are so good and the bed was fine.

The location of this place is excellent. The hotel is being renovated and we were in updated rooms but there is still a lot of work to be done. The breakfast was a bit generic but it was good, kind of a cafeteria feel to it. Parking was in underground park lot with the exit close by to the hotel. The bathrooms were very big.

They need a negotiated rate for parking. The hallways were very dark and I had to use the flashlight on my phone to find a light switch.

The front desk employees were by friendly and spoke good English. They were helpful with directions.

It looks like they are renovating, so the hallways were worn out and ugly. My husband said it reminded him of "the shining" movie. The cleaners left sheets in the hallways while they were cleaning and it was awful walking beside them. Our room was okay, but the hall and stairways were so bad, I was a little uncomfortable walking tour room without my husband. Hallways were also very dark and no hair dryer in the room.
