The location was perfect
The wifi was very , very bad. It was impossible the internet connection.
Helpful receptionist Good bathroom Convenient for town centre
Some noise from room above
The place is very old. The room are neat and tidy but the reception area and stair case was dirty looking. The carpets needed to vaccumed. The breakfast was expensive better value at Mcdonalds which is just around the corner.
A block from the train station. Large underground public parking garage if driving. Numerous restaurants outside the door of the hotel (also a negative). Walking distance to "tourist" sites.
Hotel is in need of major renovations (underway). Hallway and room have that old damp smell; not a reflection on the staff cleaning, but it is simply an old building. Front facing rooms overlook outdoor restaurant seating and noise is a problem until 2 in the morning if you are trying to sleep.
Terrible room old carpet with stains small single beds with springs sticking out tiny bathroom with no room to move noisy location difficult to find
Staff were helpful good champagne selection
the hotel is in the main pedestrian area with an underground car park right outside. Rooms are good quality. breakfast was OK. There are plenty of restaurants close by. close to town centre and cathedral. Staff very helpful.
could be very noisy at weekends with so many bars nearby
Central location, excellent parking facility, walking distance to some sites, friendly, professional staff
Hotel under remodeling, unkempt areas on floors when we checked in, some areas were shabby--in hallways. In proximate vicinity outside, encountered messy areas in adjacent restaurants and businesses.
Location is in the heart of the city and all is there for a proper night of sleep for a reasonable price.
All in order
Used the hotel en route from Calais to Mulhouse, so location was key. Great location, friendly staff and good food nearby.
Finding the entrance to the underground car park!
Location is good because this hotel is located in city centre and public car parking is just in front of hotel. In addition, hotel staffs are so kind and friendly that we enjoyed staying with little children.
Helpful staff Great location Updated rooms are very nice Good variety at breakfast and convenient hours of breakfast service
Initial room was not clean upon arrival. Had to move to another room because housekeeping staff had left for the day. This room was not updated and over the street so very loud. The next day we moved into the intended, update room but only the bed had been changed and bath was not cleaned until after 5 p.m.!!!! Internet was slow to connect and required lots of steps. No English lanugage news channel
Excellent location, within walking distance of city centre, and amongst bars and restaurants.
Can be noisy at night
good price, great location, Wi-Fi worked well. would only recommend with caveat that it is good value but it is in a busy/noisy location, compares to a low budget hotel in the States
bathroom needed a good cleansing...'fruitflies' in shower....window opened onto a roof platform that was accessible by other guests...couldn't leave my window open.
Location WiFi Room was recently refurbished
Great position with good parking, room was very pleasant and could not be faulted.Bed was really comfortable breakfast was nice and staff were excellent! Had a really nice experience and would recommend to anybody looking for good value and comfort in a traditional french hotel
This is a good, clean and comfortable hotel in the middle of town.
Un peu vieillot Clim bruyante sur les toit
Stairs after elevator to 2nd floor so with a lot of luggage it was a bit cumbersome.
Great location and parking right in front of the hotel
Rooms are a bit dated. Try to get a room away the breakfast areas as it can be noisy
A clean comfortable hotel in a great location.
A little tired and dated but it was clean, reasonable price and great location.
Easy access to site and Champagne Houses. Hotel offers discounts off tastings. Parking is closed and inexpensive. Staff helpful.
Bit noisy on a Friday or Saturday night.
Position, style, service, professionalism friendliness and comfort.
Quirky, mostly modernised but has kept it's old fashioned charm. Staff very friendly, breakfast was consistent.
Stayed on two separate nights and stayed in two different rooms. The décor in the second room was a bit odd and the bath was tiny. We also weren't told about the parking discount on the first night. It was only when we returned the following week that someone else told us about it.
Fantastic location on a beautiful, clean street with lots of great restaurants and just a short stroll from the Cathedral. Very convenient underground parking right outside the hotel for which you can pay at the hotel reception at a discounted price. Delicious breakfast - great spread and very tasty with everything we needed. Comfy plush bedrooms and beautiful tall old fashioned windows. Champagne in the vending machine!!! Welcoming, intelligent staff who speak multiple languages and are delighted to help with anything they can - even offering my mother a different room after midnight when she found her room too noisy with the street noise! She was allowed to keep keys to both rooms which meant she was able to leave her things in the original room and just walk down the hall to the new room to get a better sleep, before returning to the original room in the morning to change. Incredibly helpful of the hotel staff!!
There is some noise from the street but I had a peaceful night's sleep and it was to be expected given the central location - the short walks to restaurants and the cathedral made it well worth it. The hotel is slowly being renovated bit by bit. The reception areas and most rooms are complete. A few bathrooms are still a little dated and tired and the hallways too - but we still had a very comfy night and really enjoyed our stay.
