Excellent friendly and helpful staff Rooms clean, tidy and warm Kids were welcomed and well looked after Great location in the centre of Chamonix Chambre Neuf - great bar!
Noise from the bar can be heard up the stairs - get a room at the end of the corridor or on the third floor and it won't bother you.
the central location
there was a bar that turned into a club until 1 am
Everything, great location on the corner of everything that matters in town, grest and friendly staff, incredible breakfast, fast internet, amazing shower. During the day we have family programs to do near the hotel, and during the night (until 1 am) we have great music on the bar above, with beers and some fun to the youngers. Simply the best on town for a good faire.
The room & facilities were very good. The breakfast was ok.
The bar was very noisy & music went on quite late. I feel more could be done to sound proof the room better so that the music would not be so intrusive.
Band at happy hour, breakfast, young staff, great location, wifi
Old, beds and bathroom old, noisy halls, stairs, thin walls
Everything else. This hotel is only for young kids.
The single beds when a double was requested, dirty sheets and smoke smelling room
Location of the hotel was excelent but hei, Chamonix is a small place anyway and easy to move around. Very clean hotel with very helpful staff. Free wireless internet. Excelent de-al for your money too. Would happily go again.
Room size and bed slightly small, overheated, had to sleep with the window slightly open. But then you wouldn't want a cold room, so it isn't a complain really...
Nice staff Nice location
Balcony full of cigarette butts Bar inside the building with people drinking outside, making sleeping just impossible. Noisy just like hell.
Location Staff View Breakfast Price Parking Room
Noise from Chambre Neuf, having said that,it's their weekend also.
Friendly staff; location
No shower base, open to the floor so everything was soaked
just opposite the railway station, loved the balcony and the mountain view
the shower is a disaster, and sometimes there is no hot water...
The room was big and very clean and bed cozy, the location is the best right in the centre of town. The bar is the best in Chamo with a great apre ski band . The staff are always very helpful
The bar staff are arrogant and are more interested in having fun themselves rather than serving their customers - this is the first year we found this and is a shame as the bar has always been great
Great location in the centre of Chamonix, with easy access to the ski slopes, shops and restaurants
A bit noisy as the hotel also has a bar which attracts many...
Old school lift! Shower with hot water and good pressure Bar was cool, barmen friendly The piano Location and car park Hugo was very friendly and gave us late check out for free
Noise from bar though i didnt mind. As iwas in the last floor so not too bad Pillows or bed could be more comfortable but this is minor Old decor & carpet Car park was not de iced so exit was tricky
On checkin staff were more interested on the live music in the bar than providing information on the hotel and chamonix. I can deal with a basic room, but the smell from the bathroom drain was unbearable at times. All rooms are very noisy whether it be bar noise or other guests or the noise from the street. Definatley not a comfortable room but depends what you are after. No safes in the rooms either.
Hotels position warm room comfortable beds very polite staff handy for bars and restaurants.
Breakfast was quite poor cold bacon eggs tables still had crumbs on and for 12 euros I consider to be below average.
Staff is very cordial and helping. I haven't come across such a wonderful staff ever where ever I visited so far.
The shower water would just go all over the bathroom but this won't restrict me from booking the hotel again as for me this really is not a big deal considering other plus points.
Location was excellent. Anna at the front desk was exceptional re her people skills and multi tasking ability. Room location with views over mountains was excellent.
Twin beds joined with gap down middle. We asked for a double! Noisy pub across the road. Very off-putting Long wait for toilet paper of which we had run out. Girl we asked originally obviously forgot and went home, so had to ask twice. Anna attended to the problem immediately. Paying 9 euros for a glass of champagne that held no more than four mouthfuls!
The location and value of this hotel is perfect for those who have been to Chamonix and just need to get on with what they need to do. I came for a conference but not hesitate to use it for a bookend hotel for climbing/trekking/stop for the TMB trips
The staff did not empty the trash can and refill shampoo/soap. We stayed there for 3 nights. No refill for the last 2 days.
