location friendly and helpful staff
not clear when booking that some basic rooms are not suitable for older couples
Location and cleanliness
No bar or lounge area for relaxing
Shower was a mess: it should be rebuild. Water all over te place, you had to stand awkwardly.
Kindness of the staff, design of the hotel
Room a little too small, but bed definitely too short for my tall husband: the staff should have noticed that we were given a very small bed for my 1.96cm spouse, when we came for the first time to register and leave our luggage at 1pm. Then we did not dare complain for 1 night when arriving at 8pm.
Staid here on a business trip: clean, comfortable, good wifi, friendly staff and fabulous breakfast. Would recommend it to anyone.
Breakfast is very good, especially their yogurt & croissances are delicious !
Elevator is very late.
Location-50 meters from the cathedral Clean, quiet
Tiny room, at the attic with sloped wall and corner shower. Actually bearly stood straight in the shower. Had to go up by stairs to the fifth floor since the elevator reach only the fourth. Lucky i had a small suitcase.
Very central, large room, great bathroom with bathtub.
Lack of mini bar. Aside from that, everything was great. I would definitely choose it again for future travels to Strasbourg.
Clean hotel, very very very comfortable bed . And super great location , right next to the Gutenberg parking which is ideal for Strasbourg visitors who come by car . Breakfast was good contains of fresh items from the Alsace farms .
TV was not working. No fridge in room .
Clean & tidy room. Conveniently located near the Cathedral. Good breakfast. Good wifi reception in room.
very centrally located, nice staff, room was very clean, quiet and comfortable.
Shower sprayed water around the bathroom.
proximity to cathedral
Room was very small - I could reach in and touch the bed without even entering the room. Bathroom had a slanted ceiling therefore the shower head was lower than average. My tall husband had to kneel in the shower to wash his hair. I don't know if the city is always noisy, but we were awakened both Friday and Saturday nights with rowdy revelers outside. We had the windows open because the room was too warm and there was no way to turn on AC in October.
Excellent location and the soft and comfortable spring mattressfrees you from fatigue.
My room window is opposite one restaurant kitchen's lampblack pipeline.Let me can't open the window a terrible smell.
Excellent location right in the middle of the city. We parked the car and were able to walk everywhere.
Problem with parking outside the hotel to load/unload luggage - only 2 spaces. The breakfast was adequate but a bit disappointing on variety.
Room old fashioned and drab- the green walls were out of the 1950s in our bedroom. Dining area is institutional.
Location, breakfast, friendly staff
Expensive parking, but not the hotel's fault
Very good central location, the rooms are modern and well equipped, if a bit on the small side. Breakfast was really good and featured mainly products that were locally sourced.
As with many city centre hotels, there can be quite a bit of noise overnight that can affect your sleep. The design of the shower over the bath is very poor as it creates a channel that the water runs down and floods the floor !!
Love the location of the Hotel. Room was a very good size room, very quiet.
The staff was excellent. The room was good value for money; well cleaned, etc. The location was perfect.
There is something with the air quality that we could not nail properly, as if it was too heavy/excessively warm or lacking ventilation, both in the rooms+corridors and the breakfast room. The breakfast was relatively generous but the things we wanted the most: fresh fruits, good and aboundant coffee, good bread, were quite disappointing. It is fair to say that the breakfast was charged additionally, so one can always decide not to take it there.
Staff very friendly, rooms small but well appointed (I had the 'superior' room and it was still small but had all I needed), fresh breakfast with good choice available. Great location for transport links and sightseeing.
The toilet (without wash basin) was on the opposite side of the bedroom to the the bathroom, which I found inconvenient.
The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great.
Excellent location Clean and tidy Friendly and helpful staff
No private parking although public parking is available a few metres away No laundry service facility
The friendly staff, room and location. So easy to pop in with shopping. Staff extremely helpful with questions. Very close to banking and cafes for a range of meals. Had a bath which my husband loved after a long day of exploring.
Not fussed on the frosted glass door in en suite, but not really that bad. . Did not do breakfast because felt 12 euros per person a bit expensive when we had breakfast at Hotel Iron Horse in Amsterdam for 8 euros each. Other cafes like Café Montmartre offered cheaper options but nonetheless quality ones.
The only shortcoming is the size of the lift. But they have a lift and that's not always the case with older hotels in Europe.
