The position opposite the amphitheatre was the only good thing about this "hotel".
This hotel is run from a bar/cafe and when we checked in at the bar, the staff were busy, didn't have any booking for us and were obviously very annoyed to see us. We had to try and carry two suitcases between the crowded cafe. This was was bad enough, but then we had to carry them up 8 flights of steps as there is no lift. Fine if you are young but if you are pensioners with a heart condition it wasn't ideal. The stair carpet was filthy but that wasn't the worst. When we finally reached our tiny room we found that it was completely dominated by an old kitchen unit of sink, fridge, hot plates, cupboards and range hood with a sign saying do not use. As it was almost as big as the bed we weren't sure if it was meant to be a bedroom with a kitchen thrown in or a kitchen with a bed. There was a gap of about 6 inches between the corner of the bed and the kitchen unit so that you hit your shins every time you tried to get by. The "hotel foyer" was the store house for signs, equipment, high chairs etc. The blankets were stained and dirty although the sheets were clean. If you are more than average (female) height, sitting on the toilet and having the toilet door shut is not an option. There was also a hole in the wall. Unfortunately it was extremely hot when we were there and there was no air conditioning or a fan. As the bed is jammed into a corner, no air actually reached it so it was hard to sleep. But that was impossible as the cafés below and the resulting scraping of metal tables and chairs on cobblestones didn't stop until the early morning hours. Then the other very loud street noises took over. Added to all this is the fact that the staff demanded cash payment before we even got to our room and then also took it from our credit card so we have paid twice for a so-called hotel room. When we checked out early to go to another hotel, the staff just said "bye bye" and laughed.
Location was fantastic, the staff were friendly, nice restaurant.
The room was well worn however it it good value for money, also it was very noisy outside at 5am street cleaning so if you want a lie in it may not be for you.
The staff were very friendly, the location is hard to beat, and the price was excellent.
The room was small, but typical. The wifi didn't work in the room, but only on the lower level where there's no lounge, only a restaurant that some may feel obligated to spend money at when sitting there to use the internet.
Location was excellent.
Access by car is difficult because of location on non-auto street.
no tea coffee making facilities in room cant sit outside unless you are eating in restaurant .bit rundown
Location, Soap provided and towels.
cleanliness, no glass in a room, anything. No ones speak English!
There was nobody there! Dreadful smell from the Brasserie kitchens. Walked out. Possibly bearable if cost is the most important factor. Otherwise avoid
