Staff is very kind and helpful. Sharing bathroom does NOT disturb me at all. Everything is very clean and tidy. Supermarket is just near by. I would like to come back and stay there longer next time.
Very helpful staff, good decorative taste, great shower and good bed. Very nice place unusually located. A little secret gem.
It was a little noisy in the morning as our room was nearest to the lobby.
I stayed in the studio room for 2 nights. The facilities there is very good for the price. The stuff is super friendly.
It's 10 minutes walk from the metro station. There are some parts of the street that I doesn't feel safe but overall, it's okay.
My friend and I were first timers in Paris, although there were some things about Paris itself which were kind of disappointing, the Hotel de la Mare impressed us with the quality of service they offered. The staff were very accommodating, the room was really good considering the price, and we were pleasantly surprised with the free refreshments we got. Would recommend this Hotel to everybody I know.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Many local places to visit within walking range of the hotel but terrain is hilly so be prepared!
We had large suitcases which were awkward to navigate at the local metro stations. There are no escalators only stairs.
It is very clean, even the shared bathroom. Close to metro. Nice breakfast in the room and fruits to eat anytime. Many bars around. Friendly staff.
Clean, comfortable and newly renovated. helpful staff. Peaceful locality.
Wish I knew French.
Afif was very accomodating and tried to make us happy in every way. The hotel is super clean and tidy. The price is really good for what you get.
The location is not the best, since we arrived by car it was kind of confusing to get there, because we didnt have the best map of Paris as well.
We stayed at hotel de la mare for 4 nights. We got nothing bad to say about this place. It was wonderful 4 night. Excellent staff, Afif who works there is not great in English but he was very helpful and so easy to understand, even though he spoke french. The hotel and room and the shared bathroom was very clean and nice. Good showers too. There was an information book and special designed map of the area in the room that provided us with all kinds of good information from transport, shops, markets, restaurant you name it i was all in there. The "kitchen" had everything you needed. We got some free water and soft drinks to enjoy and some fruits. Every morning we got a basket full of freshly baked bread, which we did not expect at all. They did some light cleaning of the rooms everyday which was very nice. Very good Wifi. Comfortable beds. Location is good not far from the bus stop or metro. Its not in the center of Paris, but that really was not a big deal, the bus and metro goes so often so it takes no time to get to places. We are very glad we picked this place to stay at. It is Excellent so book it and enjoy.
- Got nothing bad to say!
We appreciated the security of the building (swipe key access) and the neighborhood as it was a little bit removed from the typical Parisian experience. Staff are incredibly kind. There are books for Paris excursions, French language and adventures in the city available in the lobby as well as a hand drawn map of the neighborhood and all of Paris. About a 10 minute walk from the tube. Most of the furniture was evident in that it was Ikea, but for the quality of stay and unexpectedly free morning croissants, we loved the experience. We frequented the fresh bakery down the street every morning for a baguette and on Saturdays there is a massive market by the tube station. All in all a great and quirky visit.
After a long search online, my wife and I finally decided to spend three nights in this hotel. It turned out that we made a correct choice! The room was clean and the service was exceptionally excellent! Because of the public transportation, it didn't take long to get to the very city centre. We will come back next time.
We were in Paris for our nieces wedding and the hotel manager did everything to help us make her day special, organising flowers, champagne, fresh croissants, taxis. This hotel is superb, clean, modern and well thought out - but it's the manager that makes it special. You will be hard pressed to find a better place to stay in Paris.
The staff was very friendly and super helpful, the kitchen was of very good use and has everything needed for simple meals, we got free breakfast for filling in the questionaire at our last stay one year ago, there's coffee and soft drinks as needed, some fruit and tea bags all included in the room price, clean and good looking rooms, the staff is very helpful when it comes to little extras like sending our postcards for us (no extra charge for stamps), giving us metro and town maps and giving us directions.
The location is a bit inconvenient because it's a little outside of the center and a couple of minutes by walk from the metro line so it's not too easy to find. The area around the hotel is a bit scary due to weird people walking around espacially during the evening/night. The rooms are a little clairaudient but apparently that's quite typical for French houses.
Beautiful hotel with good in room facilities, superb staff, Spotlessly clean and very welcoming. Will be back and would highly recommend this hotel.
Our stay was so short.
staff & cleanliness
poor wifi inside the room
Free soft drinks and water, fruit and fresh baked pastries.
Thought the shared bathroom may be difficult but in fact I never saw any one else there at any time I used it. Gym type bathroom. Fine
Everything you need in a comfortable, compact space: kitchen, generous bathroom, desk and a decent tv. The hotel is located in a quiet turn-off near the excellent parc de Belleville, a short walk away from public transport and good bars and restaurants. The area has a certain reputation among Parisians who've never been here but as someone who's lived in the city for a couple of decades, I would feel just as comfortable walking around here at night as I would the Champs-Elysées and much more comfortable than in, say, Chicago. The hotel gives sensible advice about coming and going and they give you a great, free, colourful map of the immediate area with their favorite eats, drinks and ents.
Nothing comes to mind.
breakfast fruit water
Wonderful, friendly staff. Excellent (free) basket of breakfast pastries. Funky decor. The cleanest hotel we've been to in a while! Even the garbage room is spotless. The staff is extremely child friendly. They literally ran after us to give my girls water bottles before we went sightseeing! Our room was extremely quiet because it opened to a courtyard. Very new and attractive bathroom and kitchen. The hotel has a very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere.
No common meeting room to meet friends, only a courtyard (so having friends over is weather dependent).
We stayed in a double room with a shared bathroom. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. During our stay it was above 30 degrees Celsius most days (the nights were very hot too). When we mentioned this to the staff, they promptly provided us with a fan. We also received complementary drinks, fruit and breakfast every day.
Allow 30 minutes to get to the main sights. Considering how much we liked staying at Hôtel de la Mare, however, this was a small price to pay.
What a lovely, quiet place to stay after sightseeing in Paris! The Junior Suite was absolutely lovely, immaculately clean and well furnished. The hotel staff were really helpful and friendly! We really enjoyed our stay and if we returned to Paris, would stay here again!
Very good accomodations, on the outskirts of town but close to all amenities. Train makes getting around very easy. Enjoyed all the nearby markets and local eateries. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Little noisy early in the morning if room is facing the road
Everything! One of my very best hotel experiences. And I travel. A LOT.
