The menu at breakfast could be a little more diverse
Excellent location, comfortable hotel, recommended
excellent value for money, very clean, central location.
Location excellent in the centre of the town with a good view of the square and the cathedral. Breakfast bar provided plenty of choice in a light airy room. The hotel was situated within 10 minutes walk of all that we wanted to visit. Staff recommended an excellent restaurant for dinner.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room but they were available as room service on request. Lighting in our room relied on low energy bulbs and was not very bright.
Staff very helpful and pleasant, room looking on to the square was a delight and the size of the room was a bonus. Central location was ideal.
Do not park your car in the paid parking garage if you leave on a Saturday morning when the area is taken over by the local market.
We liked the calm atmosphere of the Hotel. It was a most restful stay and yet we were in the middle of the shopping area and so close to all the churches. The Breakfast was excellent with a very good choice and it was nice to have the terrace to relax on after breakfast.
We had a problem with the taxi which did not arrive to bring us to the railway station and had to implore a private couple outside the hotel to bring us to the station as if we missed the train to Paris we would also miss our flight back to Dublin. The taxi had been booked the previous evening
Location Comfortable bed Large room
Some noise from street but we could keep the windows closed due to time of year.
The personnel are very nice and accomodating.
Large and clean room Breakfast was the best we had for the whole trip. Cheese selection was excellent.
Lift was too small Lady at reception had very limited English and was not friendly. She didn't say breakfast was additional $10 per person.
Nothing much, I'm afraid. The best thing was the excellent Acacia restaurant down the road, the meal was so good that it made returning to the ghastly hotel just about bearable.
Surly reception staff, dated (1970s) décor, tiny lift, hideous room, only one bedside table, shower didn't work properly, VERY poor value for money. Bathroom was probably clean but didn't look it, with very old fitments. They tried to sell us some instant microwave-type food, the heater for which was in the room. The room smelled of smoke, despite having asked for a non-smoking room. No hotel parking, limited public parking for which some might have to pay (we managed to stay within the no-paying times). No staff available for checkout, we had to ring constantly and wait for 15 minutes before going in search of someone, who checked us out with barely a word.
The reception lady was god in welcome
The Quality for French Break fast. The machine coffee is not nice The bread was cold but basic.
Large room, very comfy.
Breakfast area and general look of hotel from outside.
Friendly staff on reception who were always available to help. great location. Excellent room and bathroom. I would certainly recommend a stay at this hotel if visiting Lisieux.
The lift was too small to accommodate a wheelchair so had to remove the leg rests before being able to enter and the step into the hotel was quite steep for wheelchair access.
The hotel is situated with a wonderful view of the square and St Peter's Cathedral It is close to many shops yet not far from our destination of St Desire We were a family of 4. My sister and myself in 1 room and my mum and dad who is disable and uses a wheelchair in the room next door The accessible room is one of the best my parents have had the good fortune to occupy It had large comfortable beds and a separate large wet room The Breakfast room was situated on the same floor. Breakfast was delicious, croissants , hams and cheese a proper taste of France The staff were helpful and polite and good understanding of English. They also helped me with my school book French The owner was a very pleasant lady and although she was busy she always asked if all was well and if there was anything she could help us with
There is 1 step into the hotel and there was no ramp available. However we did manage but we could see that there could be a problem for others A portable ramp would be ideal The 1 thing missing from the wet room is a hand rail on the wall beside the toilet My dad suffered a stroke and has no movement in the left side. A hand rail at the right hand side of the toilet would have been perfect. They did manage however by holding onto the arm of his wheelchair
Compared to two-star French hotels that we had stayed in during the week, this hotel, rated three- star, could in no way compare. I had booked a triple room for my wife, teenage daughter and myself and was appalled to find three single beds crammed into a room big enough for one. The bedroom and bathroom were basic at best, and the only 'facility' was a small plastic bottle of water and two glasses. The reception upon arrival amounted to being asked our name, handed a key-card and directed towards the lift. We would have left and booked elsewhere had we not just been passing through for one night en route to Calais. I'm afraid that we won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it.
Our room had a huge bathroom with excelent shower facilities. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was fair and uncomplicated. Thanks a lot for sending us the forgotten Jackets
Good location and friendly, efficient staff.
The wifi connection wasn't great - managed to connect but kept dropping out.
Good room, comfy bed and lots of pillows. A door between hallway/WC and bedroom which keeps noise from the main hallway out. Great view from window towards the square and cathedral. Easy public parking nighttime. Prett y ok wifi.
Thin walls between the rooms. No public parking spaces during daytime.
Excellent room, large and with big, comfortable beds. Huge bathroom. Seemed newly redecorated. Wonderful breakfast buffé
Large rooms. Comfortable. Reasonable breakfast. Nice coffee and fresh bread.
More Lisieux than the Hotel - the town was just so quiet
Great location on the plaza, across from an 11th/12th century cathedral, which was beautiful. The room was very pretty & spacious, the bed very comfortable. There were lots of shops & places to eat & the post office was just steps from the cathedral, so it was very easy to mail our postcards. My sister & I are definitey planning to stay here again when we are in town. The lady at reception was very quick at checking us in & out & was very helpful at calling for a taxi for us.
We had requested a room with two beds & there was only one bed. However, it was quite large & we managed. The internet connection was not great & timed out constantly. I never could get my sister's phone connected ro the wifi. Also, it was an open network, so did not feel as secure as it could have been. The hotel info indicated there was a computer/printer available, but I could not locate it when I went to print our boarding passes. The lady at reception brought out a laptop from another room & assisted.
It is in a good location. Great Breakfast. It is an older more traditional style hotel. Staff very accommodating.
The location was good right in the centre of Liseux
We arrived at the hotel at 8 pm on a Saturday night on a two night stay to visit my brothers war grave in nearby St. Desir . I chose this hotel as it was close to bars and restaurants unfortunately from when we arrived on Saturday to when we left on Monday they were all closed.
This hotel was very great!! If I have to go there, i'll choice this hotel!
location good and price not bad.
needs a bit of a freshening up. but perfectly OK.
