Great location and room design...it's all in the details
Nothing it was perfect
The arty decor, the wonderful breakfasts, the friendly and helpful staff, the large shower and the great location in the heart of Arles,.
Aircon would be a better option than the ceiling fans in really hot weather, as sometimes we couldn't keep the window open (such as when the loud rock bands struck up in the nearby amphitheatre).
Location, beautiful interior design, cafe in front, quiet roof terrace with a view
Air conditioning not working, bath tub with short hose not optimal for showering
Very impressive design and good taste decor. Good breakfast,
No elevator and trick to park the car to unload the lugagge. No air conditioning
Position, center of Arle, but quiet Location, good design
The breakfast is expensive
Everyone within the control of the hotel. The Staff were excellent, especially Marie Theresa, Juliet, Elody and Sol were all extremely helpful and I have probably omitted someone - sorry. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the breakfast was fantastic and generally it was well above our expectations. The terrace on the top floor was really great. They looked after us all very, very well.
Beyond the hotel's responsibilities are the noise from the streets outside - restaurant noise rising from below, cars hooning past with loud stereos late at night and even people yelling in the street.
Everything was great. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Delicious breakfast Fresh fruit a winner Very Friendly staff especially 'la patronne' Helpful advice and tips from directory and personnel L'ouvre boîte The terrace Nice and quiet annexe
The complimentary water and toiletries restricted to arrival Day only No wash basin plug for wet shaving
Beautiful hotel in an excellent location - right in the middle of the old town but very tranquil. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are decorated very tastefully and are very comfortable. Right next to the hotel is an excellent tapas / sake bar, also extremely friendly young staff / owners. One night was way too little time!
The breakfast is rather pricy, but not out of the "ordinary" for hotels of the kind.
Location. Breakfast was wonderful. Staff carried bags up. Loved quirky decor.
No elevator. Third story walk-up. Night time noise from cafe below.
The staff were very helpful. Quirky rooms, not everyone's taste. We stored our luggage under the bed otherwise it would have been very crowded! Terrace on the roof was nice but it was so hot we couldn't use it.
No air conditioning and the temperature was 36 degrees in June. Double room was small and very hot even with the fan operating all night. No parking available so we had to carry all our luggage up two flights of stairs (no lift). We were advised not to leave anything in our car due to the possibility of break-in. Not sure how this hotel rated 8.8 with Booking.com. We rely on the Booking.com rating which let us down on this occasion.
Fantastic decor; the designers have been bold in using high quality 1950's inspired furniture and fabrics in this very old and authentic building. It works perfectly, a playful blend of old with modern, yet still luxurious. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the old town. I read that some reviewers said driving in the small streets was difficult: true, but Arles is a charming medieval town, so what do you expect? Personally I wouldn't want a trunk road outside.
That I couldn't stay longer
No bar fridge in rooms. No full mirror.
The lo.cation, the rooftop bar, the helpful receptionist, the room decor.
The shower stall leaked all over the floor. We had to request another water bottle and more shampoo and shower gel - it should have been automatic for a 4 night stay. Breakfast was so expensive that we went elsewhere.
Staff very helpful and obliging. Beds and pillows. Decor and furnishing.
No refrigerator in room. No tea and coffee making in room.
Excellent location, service, and breakfast. Great decor.
Could do with a tea/coffee set in the room.
What a fantastic location in Arles This hotel has been very well restored in a 12th century building Staff were helpful with our bags up the stairs and reconfirming some of our next travel arrangements, the room was spacious and the décor is contemporary with splashes of colour and quirky retro design plus L'Occitane toiletries Book here you wont be disappointed
Historic old building (with very modern decor). Great bathroom with enormous shower and shelves. Very convenient location.
Parking is a problem. Ask for a room on a lower floor if you would have trouble carrying your luggage up the steps, although the staff kindly helped us.
We were upgraded in a deluxe room which was really big and nice designed. Very comfortable bed and pilows, and spacious bathroom! Very proffrsional staff . We had suggestion for nice resturant!
Splendid location near the centre of the old town of Arles. Beautifully modernised. Excellent breakfast.
Perhaps should provide free Wi-fi.
The decor and character of the building. Helpful friendly staff.
Interesting old building, sympathetically modernised, situated in the heart of old town at Arles.
Not easy to find if arriving by car. Better directions would have been helful. Car parking in a multi-story outside the old town, which is closed on Sundays.
Super friendly, gracious staff, who went out of their way to be helpful and make sure we had a good stay. Artistic decor in a fine old building. Excellent and quiet location.
Only one chair in the room. But really, very very good.
We both loved the architecture of the building and most of all the fact that it was not the typical hotel but felt almost like a private luxurious home. I personally found the very sober and elegant decor just perfect for a relaxing time, also, and probably most important for us, the place was very quite, noone ever disturbed us, very unsual for a hotel therefore utterly appreciable! Breakfast too was lovely even if it wasn't include but that's like most places in France and wasn't dear at all. I couldn't but warmly recommend it to anyone visiting charming Arles!
Mhh I don't know whether this goes public but anyway...the wc was quite high and for a small person like me...not very comfy!!
