The location is ideal. Underground station very close. Walking distance to Lafayette and even to Montmartre. Room was very nice. Staff very helpful. We will most likely use this hotel again in the future
The Langlois is a classy hotel - large and charmingly appointed rooms. The Metro stop is just around the corner. The hotel is also with fairly easy walking distance from the Opera and large department stores.
The rooms on the street side tend to a little noisy - especially in the early morning with trash collection and people heading to the Metro stop. Rooms on the other side of the hotel are much quieter.
Location right between Pigalle/ Montmartre @ Opera, very close to Metro, surprisingly quiet, and with unusually big room and huge bathroom which was clean and interestingly retro, but updated shower head, for instance. I would definitely stay gain. Helpful staff.
The room was a little hot, although adequate air con solved this. On one cold evening the staff manually turned on a radiator in our room. Very thoughtful.
Staff were very helpful and room was very spacious and comfortable.
The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and with high cealings. The wifi worked fine. The location is convenient, close by shopping area and nice restaurants, and it's on a calm street. The toiletries were nice ones. The hallways and rooms are decorated with nice paintings and authentic details.
The room wasn't clean (but this seems to be quite "normal" in Paris). In the bathroom, when trying to open the window, the handle was sticky. The hairdryer was also sticky and very dusty (also, it didn't work well..so better bring your own). The sheets of the bed were broken. The mini bar fridge was extremely dirty. The international TV channels mentioned in their room book worked (including the Spanish one). If you have a room to the courtyard, you have in front an office building really closeby and overlooking your room. The choice for breakfast is very limited. No scramble eggs, no flavoured yoghurts, etc. Having breakfast in your room might be a better option (they offer this service free of charge). The breakfast room was empty and wasn't really welcoming...although it does have a very nice glass decoration you might want to check out. There's nice bakeries on that street where you might make better use of 13€ (the hotel's breakfast cost per person).
Good location and service
No lobby to rest, poor breakfast little room unconfortable to eat and the price of the room is expencive for a 3 star
Rooms clean and people excellent help.
Hallways narrow and smoke smelling
Old style charming boutique hotel
Staff not as friendly as described on reviews prior to booking this hotel. The younger guy was friendlier. The other desk workers mostly stared at us.
Quiet, clean, comfortable room in a funky building.
A little expensive, but that's Paris!
Smoking all over the hotel !!! I couldn't breathe especially in the bathroom!!!
Location is subjective, and there are many "good locations" to be had in Paris. The Metro was easily accessible. The room was large, and the bed very comfortable.
The lighting was poor, the bathroom old and unappealing. The shower attachment could not be held in a permanent position, and had to be hand held. The breakfast room was uninviting, so I cannot judge the breakfast that was offered for extra charge. There is better value for money available in Paris.
The Area seemed to have very few tourists and the local bars and restaurants were full of local Parisiens, young and older. The room was very spaceous and decorated with antique furniture and prints. The best meal we had in Paris was in a little restaurant across the street for 20 Euro for two courses. The staff were very helpful and allowed us the use of a room for a late departure at no cost.
The breakfast room was a little cramped and the selection was limited but perfectly adequate.
We enjoyed staying at this hotel with its lovely French decor & beautiful original artworks. The room was spacious & there was a separate toilet. Staff were helpful & pleasant to deal with. Good restraints were nearby. Would stay again.
Very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff Comfortable, spacious and quiet room Good breakfast with lovely fruit salad, fresh orange, cheese, eggs etc
All positive so nothing to dislike
Friendly and helpful receptionist
not enough light in room
staff on reception made no effort to make us feel welcome- seemed as if their only job was to hand you the room key
Great Location, great room size and cleanliness, great staff and very Parisian
Friendly and courteous staff
The room was spacious and very comfortable. It was in a good central location, but still quiet. Very friendly staff. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed every one of them.
Nothing to mention.
The Hotel Langlois is situated near Gare St Lazare ,so it's near enough to the fashionable areas of Paris without a 'fashionable' price. My wife and I like exploring places on foot and we were able to do that easily from the hotel. The Opera and Galleries Lafayette are only 10 minutes away, the Tuileries and the Louvre about 20 minutes and Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower are all easily reachable. Good cafe around the corner for a beer (expensive) and people watch (free) ,and a lovely boulangerie. Breakfasts at the Langlois are self serve buffet and very good - they kept us going more or less all day. There are loads of restaurants of all classes nearby, so eating out is very easy. The hotel is very comfortable and our room was big with a big bathroom - all Belle Epoque in style. The bed was big and comfortable and the towels bedlinen etc were excellent. A great place to stay.
The room was very big and decorated with antiques.
The hotel was very quaint, very pretty. Our room on the second (first) floor was spaciously comfortable.
Alas, the WiFi didn't work for our first day, then it was repaired. Then it went off again.
I showed up early in the day due to a change in plans, and the lady at the reception was so nice and helpful, in fact everyone I worked with there during my stay was really great. She gave me recommendations for what to do even though it was a public holiday, and even a complimentary coffee and pastries while I considered my options. They stored my bag during my arrival and departure while my room was not available. The room was impressive, and the price was great!
Staff very helpful breakfast buffet very good and taxi rank very close to hotel. within walking distance to department stores, shops and restaurants. The hotel has lots of charm and character.
no tea or coffee making facilities
Location Ease of access to metro and trains Staff was exceptional Wonderful French breakfast
