Surrounded by vineyards, the Best Western Hotel Le Schoenenbourg is across from the ramparts of the medieval village of Riquewihr. It features an outdoor pool, a fitness center and a sauna.

Friendly staff. Great location. Very good restaurant.
Excellent location, inside the town walls. Very good value of money.
A bit noisy, with people in hallway and outside - but I would still return.
prefect English in a French hotel staff very kind breakfast simple but very tasty
small bed :-) but no problem
Comfortable and clean
Wifi was bad
Hotel is right in the old center, we had a family room which was huge for european standards and very comfortable. Staff was very friendly and breakfast (for an extra 10 euro charge; kids 1/2 price) was a huge buffet of fresh breads and cheeses. We were there in the offseason so parking was easy and the town was not crowded at all.
Our room did not have wifi, which is not a big deal but is enough of a disadvantage to note...
A charming little town - which, to me, is destroyed by the expensive and ordinary food.
Once again, ground floor room seriously hampered privacy. Absolutely impossible to use the bathroom without fully closing the curtains. As there were no shutters - thank heavens for the black material I always have with me. The quality and prices of the food in Riquewihr is abysmal. This region is the so called Goose country - but one cannot find it on any menu. Just go up the road to the pfalz region in Germany and the meals were delicious
Location, decent sized room for the money. Good shower. Breakfast was a good value, as well.
We liked the staff. They were amazingly helpful and nice. The room was small but cozy and French. Loved the window in the bath. We liked that parking was made available to us with ease. We did not mind the walk up the stairs. Can't wait to return.
We would have liked breakfast to be included, but it was yummy anyway. A small refrigerator would have been really nice!!
Staff, location, charming hotel
The staff were extremely helpful and the restaurant is certainly recommended. The location is very central for exploration on foot and the whole village is charming.
Because of its location on a side street inside the town walls it is very difficult to access by car, even to drop off luggage. Parking is a short walk away outside the wall, which might not suit everyone. There is also no lift so again might not suit everyone. For all its old world charm, the decor and fittings are very dated but it is only 2-star, which is an honest rating and reflected in the price, which represents good value.
Charming hotel located in a quaint town. Great value for the money. Staffs were nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Central location, Helpful English-speaking stuff Parking
Breakfast too expensive for what's provided No elevator
Friendly and helpful staff Good breakfast, dinner OK
Don't try to drive to hotel Very narrow streets and From 10-4 crawling with Tour bus people. Park In public parking and walk to hotel with bags. The upper lot is less than 5 minutes from hotel
Perfect for a stay in Riquewhir. Off the main street, but easily accessible and close to shops and restaurants. The staff are wonderful and speak excellent French, English and German.
The wifi is only available in the lobby.
Hotel was close to everything. Lovely location, real value for money.
The old world feel and the friendliness of the staff.
The breakfast was very basic.
Staid here for a night - great location, beautiful old building, very warm reception, rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable. Great value for money.
Only down side is that the walls are incredibly thin; you can literally hear the conversation in the room next door.
Helpful staff good location
Tiny shower, very average breakfast.
Very central, and a pretty old building.
No wifi in our room. No facilities for making hot drinks.
Situated in the picturesque medieval town of Riquewihr in the heart of Alsace. The hotel has loads of character & the staff could teach any hotels a thing or two about hospitality. The room was cosy, with ensuite shower/ toilet ( also very clean)& the rates very reasonable. Breakfast was great.. Bread & croissants, plentiful supply of coffee & tea, yoghurt, fruit, etc Nothing was too much trouble for our host Raphael, he helped us to resolve the parking problem. This hotel was a pleasure to stay in & I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore this beautiful region of France.
It was our 4 visit. It means, that everethyng is ok.
The walls are very slim and the noise from the entrance of the hotel made inconviniance.
Riquewhir is a quaint old village with lots of fun shops and restaurants. There are nice walking trails nearby. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and they also have an excellent restaurant.
The location is a bit tricky to find because it's in the pedestrian only area. Just be sure to map it well and maybe even email hotel ahead of time to find out where to park. Must reserve parking nearby.
Location in the centre of the village is great. Staff very friendly. Very good breakfast.
The location is privileged.
The breakfast is expensive taking into account that no hot food is offered.
My room is small on the top floor, and hard to carry luggages with the stairs.
