Location is very good you can find everything close to the hotel. Shops, restsurants, metro stations. The Montparnasse tower and the train station is 10 minutes walk.
The stairs are dangerous, the stuff dont really want to speak english and thely are not so kind.
Location was excellent. It was a short walk to the major train system. Could also walk to Notre Dame and 20-30 mins walk to the Eiffel Tower. Lots of cafes and shops near.
The old man at the front spoke no english. He was very grumpy and yelled at us several times. At one point I couldn't find my suitcase and he wouldn't allow me to go upstairs to check for it. He continued to yell in French. The other staff spoke english and were very friendly but we mainly saw the older man. We stayed in a private room with private bathroom. The bathroom was really dirty and there was no door. It was more of a partition to the room. The floor was dirty and you could smell mold in the rooms. My husband and I also woke up with several bites on our legs. Not sure if that was from the actual bed but they weren't there before. The 6 euro breakfast was just a baguette and coffee. It would be cheaper to eat breakfast elsewhere. I wouldn't stay here again.
Location is good
4 flights of stairs without a lift and requires a bit of a facelift. Tired old Hotel.
This place is nice. Staff is excelent Location is excelent
upstars no elevator
Last time I stayed in this hotel, was 18 years ago. It had not changed at all! This is, however, not only positive...
No elevator, steep and narrow stairs, no proper door between WC/shower and the room. Because I knew the hotel, I had booked a double room instead of a single one. It is impossibe to imagine how two people could have stayed in that tiny room. (However, that is the case with very many other hotels in Paris, too.)
The hotel was close to the Metro and easy walking distance to Luxembourg Gardens as well as St-Germain-des- Pres. If you don't mind walking then all that the Ile de la Cite has to offer is at your disposal, or you can just hop on the Metro at St Placide. It is much appreciated if you can speak a little French. The hotel offers a great location for your stay and a quintessential French experience. All the staff were friendly and helpful in offering advice when needed. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Paris.
- situated near metro station - 2 min by foot - large room
- noone at Reception speaks English (except one - he speaks a little but works at working hours), only French - when we came to the room first what we saw - no towels, no toilet brush and excrements smeared over the toilet bowl -very small bathroom
It is situated in a nice area. Room was comfortable.
Room was smelling (perhaps the old carpet on the floor). Toilet was very small. Stuff did not speak English (but they were helpful). No elevator. Even though it is Paris... I consider it to be a little expensive for what it provides.
very central in Montparnasse; two Metro stations are very close by; there are lots of good restaurants in walking distance
in our room, no 18, the bathroom is TINY, the WC hardly fits into the bathroom, but all is in working order; owner speaks little English and it takes time to find him friendly or even smiling
The location is nice close to two metro stations with bars and restaurants that are open till 2am just minutes walk away. The staff was excellent although limited English but not a problem. Quiet and neat street with easy access to various tourist attractions using various mode of transport. Beware there is no lift so you might want to ask for a room close to the ground floor if you have a large luggage or have difficulty using steep and tiny staircase.
The toilet could do with more upgrade in facilities. For example the bath tub in my room takes ages to drain accumulating water while taking a bath which is not hygienic. The toilet itself wasn't clean as it had permanent stains that I would assume couldn't go away as the room was cleaned on a daily basis but the stain remained. I also had to ask for a shower curtain change as the one in the bath was really dirty which is totally unacceptable considering rooms are supposed to be properly cleaned and checked prior to arrival of guest.
Location is good. The price is reasonable and cheap. Room is comfortable.
Except for the staircase (if you are taking a large luggage, it might be slightly difficult).
The location is perfect, people are friendly, they change the bed covers and towels daily. the rest room is clean. the mocket has bad smell and need to change. l suggest putting a small refrigerator in the room and a kettle.
The location, and the friendly working and helpful staff. the quit plave that help good sleeping.
location, very close to metro station
extra small bathroom, they do not speak english, no elevator, awful decoration
Very small and uncomfortable room with no A/c, very tiny washroom
The location couldn't be better. The hotel is typical french style, the personal extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very quite. Breakfast was abundant and the croissant excellent.
Third floor without elevator, but the lagguage was carried up by the staff. The bathroom wouldn't suffer from modernization.
1. My wife left her mobile in room after check out and kept our luggage in lobby. While we came back staff returned the mobile without even asking.
1. Very congested bathroom, in fact didn't have proper door. 2. Very small room. Very small bed. 3. Not proper ventilation. 4. No lift, i got room on 3rd floor. 5. No staff knew proper English, had lot of trouble because of this.
Free internet everywhere Close to 3 metro stations but all of them require walking
Very small rooms Away from the center
The location. It is very close to the metro station. And that's all.
1 - It is very expensive for what it offers. 2 - The personnel didn't spoke English, NOT A SINGLE WORD!!!! 3 - There are a lot of stairs, and they are circular and very steep. And our room was on the 4th floor, so it wasn't pleasant at all carrying all the luggage. 4 - The room was extremely small, and the bathroom was even smaller. The bathroom door was broken. The room looked more like an attic. 5 - We arrived with our personal car at the hotel, and we needed a parking place in front of the hotel, but none was free, so we had to park in a underground parking for a few hours (4 euros/h). When we told to the owner that we choose this hotel because it said they have free parking, he said that it is not his problem that we didn't found a free spot.
Location, staff, atmosphere. Very handy for buses, metro and RER but in a quiet street.
small and close to things i wanted to see
the shower was broken, it smelled musty, the flush on the toilet was stuck, and it was hot.
Location and proximity to metro
No elevators at the property so quite difficult for persons with heavy luggage if your room is located on the upper floors
location. close to many metro station and good restrant. helpful staff with the luggage. totally safe neighborhood. true paris life in this area. wifi works very well.
bathroom is kind of tiny.
great location rather quiet place with 2 metro stations nearby
steer stairs upwards very very basic room even without shampoo in small bathroom do not recommend breakfast for 6 euro(just coffee with croassant and jam )
Расположение, приятный персонал. Есть шкаф, в комнате ловится вай-фай, правда, с перебоями (3 этаж). Закрывается окно. Location; staff. There is a wardrobe and wi-fi connection in the room (3rd floor).
Грязно. Очень маленькая ванная. Я не придираюсь, там, действительно, невозможно пошевелиться, чтобы ничего не задеть, грузным людям будет просто нереально закрыть там дверь. Dirty, very small batroom
Location. Close to 3 different Metro stations, including Montparnasse. Vibrant area for shopping and restaurants. Courtyard outside the window
No lift, but staff willing to help Very small room and bathroom, but water hot.
