Good sized, well designed room. Very nice bed. About 30 metres from a metro station (line 4). There's a pretty good little mini-market downstairs in case you need something urgently. The staff are very nice, but I don't know if they speak English.
No lift, and the area is pretty dull. No decent restaurants or bars. Smallish shower cabinet. Internet rubbish in the evenings. A bit loud outside at times, as it's on a main road.
Metro stations nearby It's cheap (when it comes to Paris) Staff mostly helpful Quite clean
* No elevator and a narrow staircase * Very thin walls * You have to be friendly to the front desk person, as you will have to pass him every time you enter or leave the hotel (it's narrow). He also has to let you in every time after 8PM :)
Close to the metro and places to eat. Cleaned every day. Staff friendly and helpful.
Not the best neighbourhood.
This was my first stay. I liked the room. It's a good size and well fitted. The bed was very comfortable and there was good light for reading. The bathroom, though small, was clean, intact and usable. The Metro station is about 30 metres way. The windows are double glazed so sound was not a problem.
The Internet connection was almost useless. I could send and receive email, but Skype was impossible. The shower cubicle was a bit small. The neighborhood isn't great for dining. No lift. Apart from the Internet these are all minor niggles.
Location on useful Metro links to train stations and key attractions. Staff did all necessary functions with courtesy. Housekeeping was terrific, especially given that this is an old building. Interesting non-tourist shops and a beautiful climb from hotel up back streets to Sacre Couer.
Till late at night, except when it rained, there was loud conversation and were a few arguments on the street below, as well as lots of sirens. We found ourselves sleeping in, as it was quieter in the morning. Shower barely had room for average size person. No elevator.
Cozy little room. Nice bad, and clean bathroom.
No elevator. If you travel with big bags, you need to go upstairs on foot. WiFi connection is poor. No connection in the room. Criminal area near from hotel. Very nosy people on the street. You don't have condition in the room, so you need open window for a night. And you hear all of this sound, and talkins all night long. In early morning, you wake up by cars, and trains. Poor hotel in all my travel.
One woman by the name of Monique was very nice and helpful.
Noisy, no air conditioning, no elevator, rooms were pretty crappy. You had to close the window to get any sleep and then the room would get warm and stuffy.
A perfect hotel, 100% clean. The team was great, very helpful. The room was very cosy, we had a room with balcony... was very clean and the moment you close the window, it's very quiet. I will come back for sure!!!!
Friendly staff who speak english, metro station 1 station from Gard du Nord! and for you concert goers to Stade de France, rapid train connection. From 6th floor, view across to Sacre Cour. Beautiful avenue lined with tall trees. Near Montmatre. For the young, and young at heart. Cosmopolitan modern Paris, not the high end, but please, the price is spot on.
+ close to the next metro (subway)
- hotel was totally overbooked. the room was not the room we'd booked but we payd the full price. - very noisy outside - doubtful neighbourhood
We were in Paris to do some daytrips (Giverney and Auvers sur Oise and Versailles) so the location was excellent for reaching the main line stations.
1)The wi-fi gets interrupted every 3 minutes, then you need to retype the username and password which is very ennoying. 2)No airco whcih is needed on a hot summer day.
Staff is not friendly at all, not helpful, Mosquitos in the rooms was enjoying ,lots of stairs may about 100 and they are very small as well, staff always egnore u:(( and there is no key for front door for guests and u have ring the bell than wait for them to open the door sometime u have to wait for hr :((
Clean, comfortable room
Noise at night
Very friendly staff.
Room was spacious, clean, with nice features as the little balconies and shutters. Bathroom was fab, overall a very good value for the money!
The location is probably not the best.
It's less than 5 min walking distance from metro
-the beds weren't clean, there were hairs on the sheets -the shower curtain had mold at the bottom -the room for 3 was very small -the night shift worker was real rude -it was way too pricey for the location -it's at least 40 minutes from the Eiffel tower
Near subway station, Friendly staff
Room could be cleaner, but not horrible! A long spiral stairs, no elevator
The staff was great. Just a couple of minutes from the subway, and a boulangerie, so breakwas was enjoyed in the french windows. For me it was a plus that you could smoke inside, but i would persume that others would not appreciate that. Super close to Sacre Coeur, and all the lovely places in montmartre!
The area was a little bit doggy, but only 10-15 minutes walk and you were again in really cosy areas, so it did not matter that much. As I said in the positive part: smoking inside might be annoying for some. The room was small, but we did not spend much time there so we did not mind!
Ok staff Very close to metro
No lift Not safe area at night
location was just what I needed, and not far from metro station as well. the price was alright for paris
There is no elevator, but that was fine with me. A bit of noise from outside (traffic) and the rest of the building. To connect to the free wifi you have to enter your name+address+email+phone which I found a bit weird.
friendly staff! very sweet.
Very friendly & helpful staff. Kind manner. Highly recommended
Close to metro station. In comparation with other hotels prise was ok.
Internet was terrible, I couldn't check even my email. Very small bathroom, but new.
